although nature of staff was good , hotel premises and room is big but interior is old , no swiimming or games zone , wifi vailable but not so good , no provision for driver otherwise service was good

Rooms r bad service is good location is excellent. It's just that it's an old hotel with big rooms.

Room was clean and staff was friendly, This was my second stay in this hotel and its just a coincidence that again the swimming pool was under renovation.Porter and other helper staff are always helpful if you give good tips.

Old style hotel that has fallen by the wayside due to lack of care.Rooms are very spacious and we had large interconnecting rooms with renovated bathrooms. Housekeeping is lazy with dust and scuff marks on furniture and the carpet in the corridor very dirty. HK staff are very courteous though. The food and beverage staff on the other hand are some of the laziest middle aged men I have seen in my life. ITDC needs to wake up to the immense potential the hotel has. The location is wonderful and the hotel could really be fantastic with some love and care from the government as well as the staff employed.

Dated property. Huge space. In-house restaurant doesn't have ala carte menu. Room interiors are good, but lobby needs improvement. Great accessibility. Some portion is under renovation. Ample scope for improvement into a great hotel.

Fairly old hotel showing its age. Checking in was an elongated process with each guest having to fill in a detailed form and have their photos taken - I guess this is because of the hotel's proximity to important government buildings in the neighbourhood. Both rooms we booked were on the opposite end to the lifts which meant a long walk along corridors. Rooms were clean but, as with the whole building, have seen better days. On one of the days there was a water cut followed by several hours some brown liquid coming out of the taps. Locals seem to take no notice but it would be alarming for a westerner. Hotel's restaurant is only open during breakfast. For lunch and dinner guests have to go next door to the Ashok Hotel. The South Indian restaurant there was very pricey for the fayre ir served. Staff were helpful and attentive.

I stayed at the Samrat for a few days when I first arrived in Delhi. The hotel, on the outside and the lobby does look like a four star hotel, and the service is quite good. However, once you go upstairs to your room, you'll notice the hotel is old and quite deteriorated: the rugs need changing; the walls need a coat of paint; and the gym could seriously use some better machines. Then, there's the trouble with the internet; one you'll likely experience in many places in India: bad wifi which only works in two devices at maximum and which will log you out every few minutes. This is honestly quite annoying and tedious, which requires calling the IT guy quite a lot. As for the food, this was simply o.k; but nothing out of the ordinary. Altogether, it is an average stay, but not memorable enough to make me want to stay here again.

Smarat hotel near Embassy area is best option to stay in Chankyapuri Delhi...Good staff with smile service in every field..food..Meeting/Banquet Facilities..Room Amenities is good..my side must be 10/10
