Super Deluxe Room
Hotel Rooms are very good with very good furniture, Food is very good and 24 hours reception. The location is very good, nearer to Karol Bagh Market, there is a biggest shopping mall in this area, which is biggest shopping mall in ASIA. New building, new furniture. Totally Its very good experience in New Delhi. Very good hotel with low budget.
services are so shameful and ridiculous.
Location, I found the hotel very convenient. Close to metro and in heart of busy karolbag shopping area, it was a surprise for my wife too. Rooms were well appointed though a bit on smaller side. Lobby was well represented and choice of eatery was equally good. The best part was the in house well equipped travel agency.
Good Hotel for any traveller!
I booked Southern Hotel, Karol Bag, New Delhi for three days stay. I was requested hotel for Pick-up facility from H. Nizamuddin Railway Station at 6.30 am on 16th Feb., and I please to say that Hotel car (not auto) was waiting outside the railway station with my name plate. They also gave me call on my mobile at 6.00 am. The Southern Hotel Deluxe room given to me was excellent, with 24 hours hot water, AC, TV, News Paper etc. room was clean daily and room service was also very good. Food at Hotel was very nice (south Indian and Punjabi food was excellent), we had not tested Non-veg food. The Southern Hotel has made the arrangements for one day local sight seeing and one day tour to Agra also. The buses were very nice (Volvo Bus). We both enjoyed both the tours. Tour Guide was also very co-operative.Actually, I was planning to stay for one day at Delhi, but after seeing the hotel facilities compare to charges, I had extended my stay for another two days at same hotel. All the staff at reception was very co-operative. Unfortunately, I lost my mobile at Delhi Metro rail, but the hotel co-operated me to use STD facility from my room. While leaving the hotel on third day, they made arrangements to shift my luggage to auto.In short my tour to Delhi was very relax and tension free, due to Southern Hotel..

Rooms are average Location: Excellent location nearby 2 metro stations. Breakfast: Excellent South Indian. Caution: Please ask them about the availability of rooms in the main building before booking. They have 4 to 5 different properties nearby and they are good for nothing. Make sure you get the rooms in main building only.
We are a group of 10 people and reached Delhi by 11:30 PM, as we booked the room in the southern hotels, we waited for Cab pickup. But they did not turn up on time and reached after making several calls to them and reached by 12:00 PM. But once we reached the hotel by 12;30 PM, it was well received by the hotel staff and the next day we had a very good south indian breakfast which included idli and uttappam. and we started by around 8 AM for Delhi trip. As mentioned, they were able to cover all the places ( India gate, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar etc ) by 8:30 PM. During the break we came back to hotel and had lunch, and the lunch was very good with lot of varieties. And the next day we went to Agra using the same travels, they were on time, and are able to cover Agra Fort, Taj mehel and Mathura. The guides which are deployed at Agra has explained all the historical background and made it more interesting. Overall travel service was excellent, Food quality was very good, but the hotel service was only good and it needs improvement.
I had been recommended this hotel by a friend as a 'budget hotel'. It turned out to be a below average hotel. Cleanliness is surely not on their agenda. The bed sheets were not fresh. Found hairs of the previous occupants on the pillows.. The hotel did not provide me drinking water on day 1. Even though I asked them a couple of times, no water was provided. I stayed for a few days and found that they don't change the sheets unless we insist! The bathrooms were average but not cleaned daily. The hotel does not provide tissue paper or hand towels / face napkins. They provided bath towels but I had to ask them every day to give me fresh towels. They never changed the bathroom mat for the full duration of my stay! The complimentary breakfast was below average. A2B restaurant is way too expensive for the quality and quantity of food they provide. The only saving grace was the complimentary pick up and drop from the airport and availability of hot water in the bathroom. This hotel can be considered as a decent accomodation for low budget South Indian travellers who expect bare essentials only.
I stayed in a Royal Southern room at this hotel along with my wife and 3year old son. My son just enjoyed the room (the bed & bath) and did not want to go out; he was happy to get a separate bed for himself with a floor-to-ceiling mirror. The best part of this hotel is its location - nearby Metro stations, Travels & Market place of Karolbagh. Even though it is in Karolbagh, it is easily accessible and one does not have to struggle through the busy market traffic. Cabs are also easily available. I just have 2 points as suggestions - 1) The A2B restaurant attached appeared to be small for the amount of tourists & 2) The place between 2 buildings could be kept dry and clean.
By seeing the pics online and in their wesite, i thought i have booked a good room. But, when i entered their hotel, i was Really Shocked !!!. Stinking Room, Leaking Taps, Bugs on Bed and so on.. Please dont visit this hotel evn if you get it for 100 ruppes a day. It will surely spoil your purpose of visit and you may get a disease.
