Stayed here for 2 different nights and the hotel is quite hard to reach and seems to be in a side street of a crowded marketplace. The girls in our tour group didn't feel safe and even one was followed back to the hotel while she went out for a walk. When we got to the hotel the first time, the room we were given smelt strongly of pesticides and had to ask the staff to move us to another room, which they did promptly. However, on our second stay there (about 2 days later) the same incident happened. The rooms are pretty average and have no windows and feel more like an apartment complex and the food was average at best.

I visited Delhi on a business trip and stayed in Hotel Surya for one night. Honestly I was a little apprehensive regarding the hotel but all my doubts were cleared by Nikita- the guest relations officer. She was professional to the core and made sure of providing me everything to make my stay comfortable. Very good and feature rich hotel. Ambience is excellent and the staffs are very professional. Restaurant food prices are much higher than regular prices. Rooms are clean and cosy. Overall it's a good hotel and deserves 4/5

We stayed here at the beginning of an Intrepid tour. The staff were courteous on arrival and check in was good. The room is 3* India so expect 2* UK. As this was our first hotel on our tour we were shocked at how dirty our room was but as we found ours this is typical of 3*. Breakfast was basic. Omelette can be ordered. Location is ok. We asked reception to book us taxi/drivers for the day who took us to one of the sights suggested but then unfortunately took us to a government shop...ie hard sell carpets, jewellery etc. We did complain and the taxis owners came to hotel to apologise.

We booked rooms in this hotel via cleartrip. The room rent was paid in advance. When we arrived at this hotel for check-in, they told us that their hotel has electricity problem and that's why they can't give us any room. They arranged our accommodation in a nearby hotel. We came to know from that hotel that the rent of per room per night was 1500 INR, but in Surya International we paid 1800 per room per night. They did not give us back any money. So, by playing this trick they cheated us by 300 INR per room per night. We booked 4 rooms for 2 nights. Later we found out that Hotel Surya played this trick before with many customers who have written negative review. I learnt a lesson that we should never ignore negative reviews. Do not book this hotel if you do not want to be cheated.
