Decent size rooms and affordable pricing. They claim to be 4 star but definitely 3 star in international standards. However, front desk is excellent and customer service is good.
Had forgotten my bag in hotel and staff couriered it immediately.
We stayed at the Swaran Palace Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is not as cheap as most things are in India but is on a par with what you'd expect to pay in Europe or North America.
The hotel was of a good quality and on par with other 3 star hotels I've stayed in in India. The beds were very comfortable and the bedding was changed daily. The staff were extremely helpful and attentive. The hotel has a roof terrace and restaurant but does not have a pool.
The hotel is situated in the busy Western Extension Area of Delhi along with other similar hotels. It offers a sanctuary of quietness from the assault on the senses that exists in downtown Delhi. The hotel offers meals and room service which other guests told us was of a good quality but we did not try those services ourselves. There are plenty of good and cheap places to eat on the door step.
The only downside I found was there was always a spare mattress in the corridor on almost every floor every day. No idea why and they clearly moved positions. Just made the place look untidy and a bit like a hostel.
This was my second time in this hotel . I have a good experience .The hotel situated at a nice place . You can buy any think which can be find near at your hotel . I think it has 20 rooms . It is a nice hotel .
#Stayed here as holiday home of a PSU bank so review is not related with rate.
I along with my wife stayed here for 3 nights.Location is perfect, less than 5 min walk from Karolbagh metro station,at Ajmal khan road, main market of Karolbagh, many place to eat nearby. The road on which hotel is situated is little conjusted still wider enough to arrive hotel using cab.Reception and other staffs are courteous,it took hardly 5 min for us to get inside room after arriving. The lobby and other common area are spotlessly clean. The hotel is situated between 2 buildings (as most hotels around Ajmal Khan road) so dont expect room with windows and view(there may be fee room which are front facing where through window you may see another hotel fronatge and road).Room was ok in size with no window (there was a window which opens to duct for ventilation),a LED TV with set top box, almira with hangers, kettle and complimentary tea/coffee kit, fridge with some stuffs (not comp) ,a sofa with a table and a big and comfortable bed.Size of room was just ok,not much spare space but ok for couple. Cleanliness was good, lighting was also ok,AC was in good condition.Bathroom was small, expected little bigger, clean, hot and cold water available 24 hr,comp toiletries were supplied, towels were clean.
Service was good through out our stay, they daily cleaned the room without fail, didnt ordered anything from restaurant but whenever asked for RO water, arrived well in time.Overall our stay was good.
Now as per consumer affairs ministry, Government of India order few months ago, bottled water and other packed food items need to be sell at MRP,not with inflated price but as per rate charts displayed at rooms, rates are still 2 to 3 times of MRP,you need to check that and rectify.
Rest everything was mostly ok.
This is one of those few old world hotels with maybe about 20 rooms right in the heart of Karol Bagh, which is the busiest shopping place in Delhi. So connectivity wise it's great . Rooms are are not bad but food and price both are over the top. Around 6k per night (incl breakfast) and 5.5k per night without is a bit too high by Delhi standards.
Location : it's 5 mins walk from the Karol Bagh metro station. Good shopping area open till about 10pm. But the locality is very crampy and if Ur want views or space ..this is not the place to be .
Rooms : rooms are ok,clean and hygienic. The kettle was not working though
Food: we had the breakfast and twas a bit sad in terms of spread and taste - breads, corn flakes, pre cooked dosas , boiled eggs , chola bhatura and some fruits. So quite basic.
Price : 6k per night . Good get better location and rooms in this rate elsewhere.
TIP: If u don't take breakfast plan then it's chargeable at 330/- per person. Trust me if u ve time I can walk down and find decent places to eat like Punjab sweet corner , The feast etc.
Service : service was quick and they responded to small requests quickly.
Overall ok only if you want to be in that area.
