The best part is rooftop restaurant. You could choose the place for table and it would be there in a minute:) There are vegetarian food only. I could recommended Malai Cofta!
Hotel is close to the shopping streets. For evening walks I could recommended to choose closed inconspicuous clothing and it is better with husband or friend, because there are a lot of men but no women on streets in the evening.
I will definitely be returning to Tara Palace whenever I stay in Delhi, the rooms are as shown, very clean, secure and comfortable, the beds are good and I slept well every night.
The staff are amazing, all of them, especially mr Chhaby and Mr Dilip who brought me awesome food everyday, always with a genuine smile and nice conversation, thanks guys you made my stay very enjoyable :)
The rooftop of the Tara isn't really mentioned but I think it is the best rooftop in Old Delhi, the views towards Jama Masjid, the Red Fort and 360 degree panorama of daily Delhi life, is incredible, watching the sunset from the roof and drinking Masala is something I know I will miss when I return home.
10/10 would recommend this hotel, if you want to see the real Delhi, in comfort and ease and with top level service, stay here.
The hotel met and exceeded my expectations for my whole stay. To start, the free hotel pickup service from the Airport was a great way getting from the airport to the hotel and the very friendly and helpful driver Pawan was at the exact place they said he would be with a sign marked as Tara Place with my name on it.
The hotel is at the end of a small Alley. However the alley is partially lit and there were no people sleeping in it as reported by previous guests. The guard is at the door and can watch you walk down the alley, so it is quite safe.
The hotel is a budget hotel, so rooms and facilities are basic, but clean and functional. There are many wifi access points available as part of the free wifi which gave a strong persistent wifi service. When I visit again, I would pay a bit extra and order a room on the third floor with outward facing windows.
The hotel manager was very helpful and friendly and helped us buy our local SIMM cards and get them working. So, if this is your first stop in India, I would recommend not buying the SIMM card at the Airport, long queues, and remember the free airport pickup is waiting for you.
Finally, we found Old Delhi hectic but people left you alone or were helpful if you reached out. A great way to be introduced to India
It is the best hotel located in delhi as the service provided by them is too good and the places to wander are very close to this hotel area and they provide their own means of transport for that.
If u want to join hotel in delhi then go blindly for hotel tara place it is the best hotel and also they maintain huge hygiene for the peoples who dont like to stay in a local hotels.
Deep in old Delhi, it is a great location to explore old Delhi and understand it
Next to the red fort, Chandni Chowk and Jamal Masjid
Basic facilities, but clean, good food and friendly staff
You must visit the roof top
Nice place to have a drink or meal
