I wish I had not gone by the reviews here. The Goods: 1. Close to new delhi railway station. A tricycle will take you for INR 40 to the hotel. 2. Walking distance to the nearest metro RK ashram. 3. Easy check in 4. Hot water 24 hrs. 5. Looked safe inside. The Bads. 1. Neighbourhood may scare you. Lot of goons around and the Bar across the street is the source of all the nuisance. Expect a midnight roadside tiff everyday. Didn't find it safe after 11 pm. 2. Rooms need maintenance badly. The walls and floors are stained. 3. Basic rooms only, no supplements at all. For the tariff charged, I at least expected toiletries. 4. Mine was supposed to be a soundproof room and I could hear everyone passing in the corridor. Was wondering if I would even whisper I must be audible outside. 5. The standard room is too small. 6. The main entry closes in the night and there's no door bell, so basically you have to bang the door and only IF the watchman "wakes up" he will take you in, else you may have to sleep with the dog resting right at the doorstep. It was exactly when I realised this isn't a hotel. All in all I didn't find a reason why Is this place ranked so high in the list. Though a special mention about the reception staff Seema, she is extremely humble and an asset to the property.
