More than the Hotel, we are dis-satisfied with the Travel Guru response. My age 70 and my 2 sisters went to Delhi- Hotel Royal Residency. Even after paying full in advance and having Confirmation No. 0001202286 ,Upon reaching Hotel, they were told that they have no bookings. Upon contacting TravelGuru, they promised but no action taken. After 1 hour of wait when we promised to make the payment if Travel Guru makes the payment, we were allowed to checkin. The Hotel person initially did not allow to move out unless we make payment. Even after calling 5-6 times at Travel Guru and assurances, Travel Guru did not make payment to hotel and they kept harassing as if we are criminals. It was one of the most embarrassing experience. One first day at 9 PM, they asked us to vacate the room or make payments. Again requested Travel Guru and somebody Vikas promised them payment next morning. However, travel Guru did not make payment to the Hotel and finally we were asked to make the payment in full which is far higher than the amount paid to Travel Guru. At age 70 , it was impossible to find alternatives. The travel Guru persons kept on fighting with Hotel without considering any plight for just Rs.3,000/- . Travel Guru persons never tried to resolve thereby spoiled our trip. We are now approaching the Consumer Court to file a Case of Compensation for the mental torture and embarrassment of 3 Senior Citizens for Rs. 25 lacs. Finally, Travel Guru wrote that they are terminating contract with that Hotel and refunding our amount but I am sure Travel Guru will never return. We are not asking you the damages of spoiling trip and humiliation for small amount, illegal detention at Hotel which is Criminal act and threatening to vacate at night. Hope the call center persons are more responsive and instead of fighting with Hotel, they could have cared for our comfort.
