My wife works in Delhi and me in Hyderabad. We planned to have some quality time dedicated to each other. We chose Le-Marlin at Greater Kailash, Delhi. The reason we zeroed on this hotel was the bugget & location of the hotel. It near to Nizamudin railway station as well it has some good market in near by area like Lajpat Nagar mkt etc. Location of hotel seems to be like a colony. It was not tough to locate the hotel as there is a movie theater on opposite. Hotel staff were decent and cooperative. Room interior was really nice. A/C was not working initially but it got rectified soon. We spent about two days and stay was really good. Food is also good but you can find better food in Delhi very often. Overall it was a good stay.

I had booked a hotel room at Le-Marlin Hotel, East of Kailash, Delhi, via makemytrip.com and had made the payment online. On reaching the hotel, I was told that the hotel is already full and they will put me in a different hotel. I thought that this was a blessing in disguise as Le-Marlin was a much worse place that what was projected by makemytrip.com. However, my joy was short lived as I was taken to a far off place and was asked to check into Royal Castle. I was shocked to see the condition of the room I was made to stay into. The room was filthy and was smelling of urine. I called makemytrip for help, but they were not able to help me in this hour of crisis. Being late in the night, I had no choice, but to take the room. But this proved to be a wrong decision as I very uncomfortable during the night. Next morning, during check out, I found that the billing for my room was half of what I had paid to makemytrip. I was made to sign the bill, but was refused a copy of the same. This is pure gundagardi. How can someone refuse me a copy of a document that I was made to sign? I was asked to go to the police if I had a problem. I feel that a better way is to share the experience with prospective customers and help them avoid such situations. Bad people and bad organizations will always be there. It is important to be aware about them.

NOT SO GOOD HOTEL - BAD CHOICE NOT SO GOOD HOTEL - BAD CHOICE

We stayed here for a night and found the hotel is well below average, its more like a lodge not a hotel. Its located in a building on first floor, the room is very small (101), bathroom was not good, there were cockroaches inside the room and bathroom. After you have shower the whole bathroom will be filled with water which was very annoying. For sure we will not opt this hotel for our next stay. There was wireless Internet in the hotel, DTH & LCD TV, towels in the bathroom, mini bar fridge with a bottle of water only, working window AC was there. Couple of times light went, some times there was AC but there was no light, we had our dinner in dark. Le Marlin Travels arranged our Agra visit which was really good and their driver was very efficient (Saini), the tour and the whole trip (Delhi - Agra vehicle and hotels) was arranged by Mr. Rahul who was very co-operative and prompt. Nothing great to talk about the hotel we had stayed at several good hotels during our trip hence didn't like Le Marlin compared to other hotel we stayed (Shimla - Hotel Combermere, Manali - Apple Country, Agra - Hotel Amar & in Delhi Le Marlin). They had room service but very limited choice. Regards Ajesh
