Dirty, no outside windown, poor service Dirty, no outside windown, poor service

Location is in a narrow road opposite YES BANK ATM. Stayed 4 nights in the 1. floor. Very small room with a small cable-TV. Hot shower but shower head wasn't working, so you had to take a bucket-shower (after you cleaned the bucket). Bathroom was quite dirty and everything very old and never cared about. It was always big effort to close the tabs. They gave one towel per guest and refused to give an additional towel. Nighttime it was noise, either from the stairs or if you had noisy neighbours, as all windows where facing the corridor. All night corridor-lights where shining inside the room. As you didn't have any outside window, there was no fresh air in the room. They always swithed of the power from outside the room, so it was difficult to charge ipad or electric toothbrush. When help was needed, you often had to ask more then one time. Free WiFi was provided but wasn't working properly.

cheap and cheerful it's not.... cheap and cheerful it's not....

If you want cheap and cheerful then this isn't it. In comparison to nearby hostels, it's not really cheap. It cost me and my friend 600rupees for 1 small room for 1 night. They offered it as a "luxury" room as it had a tv and air conditioning. The tv we didn't need and the a/c didn't work. The room was small, and other than the bed the only other piece of furniture was the table for our tv. The bathroom was tiny. It had a really dirty toilet, a sink and a shower above it all. There was however hot water as a positive. However there were continuously really load noises from the street below, and during my stay the wifi networks didn't work well. It didn't work in my room at all, I had to sit on the stairs if I wanted to use it. I don't recommend staying here.

Ok, but that's it. Ok, but that's it.

Small rooms, not very clean, some kind of shower and a toilet (But in our room it was impossible to close the toilet-door, cause it was swollen from and damp. You'll may need some incense sticks if you aren't found of kloak-smell in the room. The hotel is just a one minute walk from the "Main Bazar Road" in Pahar Ganj and five minutes from New Dehli Railway Station. Our room was 550 rs/night and they have more expensive ones too.

a typical backpacker place a typical backpacker place

Sky View is one of the hundreds of backpacker guesthouses in the Pahaganj/Main Bazar strip - opposite the railway station. It is a bustling, busy and dirty area, but it is cheap and it is good fun and decent shopping. Many foreigners come for wholesale shopping in this area. The rooms are from small windowless to larger with windows but no view. Beds are the basic backpacker thing, all rooms have attached hot/cold shower and western toilet, rooms are cleaned everyday to a backpacker standard. Popular with people from Korea, and local Indians. Fan and water cooler in the hot season, small TV with all the channels you need. Staff and management is quirky in a nice way and very trustworthy. You get 10% discount at their Golden Cafe restaurant in the Main Bazar, western, Korean and Indian food. The food is freshly prepared and for the area and price a pretty good deal, it is often busy, one of the better places for snacks and a quick meal. They speak several languages, including Japanese and Korean. They offer various services, bookings and exchange. They have a website for bookings.

Crapy place Crapy place

If you like to study the live of cockroaches and other insectes this is the place to go. The rooms are dirty and loud even with some drinks you cant sleep there. Only positiv think in this guest house is the really hot water. If you go there you could better burn the money in a nice bond fire. There are plenty of other better places around in this area.
