All my official trips to Delhi have been made comfortable & enjoyable by Sumitra Inn. Centrally & conveniently located, it offers excellent value for money coupled with nice, clean & luxurious facilities. Homely & delicious food (and also healthy as special attention is given by Mr Chakravarthy - the owner) add to the comfort quotient. The experience at this is location along with the behaviour of staff & owner is "natural & genuine" and that's what makes it so unique, it is a culture hence each time you go your experience gets further enhanced. I have not stayed here with my family but will definitely recommend the same and will surely do it some time in future. My sincere appreciation and best wishes to the entire Sumitra Inn team for their consistent efforts & hospitality.

We spent ten days in Delhi on a holiday. Our group had a whole floor to them with a seating area and balcony. The rooms were clean and also the bathroom facilities were clean, if not extraordinary luxurious. For breakfast we've got as much as we wanted (if not more), always fresh fruit and one meal, ranging in variety from Western style to Indian. The staff was very helpful and really friendly, although sometimes the communication was a bit difficult, because not all of them spoke English well. Also the prices weren't really transparent, so make sure if you're there on a tight budget to ask for the prices or if you've paid everything. Overall we appreciated the friendliness of the staff and the owner and felt safe in the neighborhood, so that if we go back, we'll probably stay there again.

With the intention of getting official work done near Chanakyapuri, we selected the Sumitra Inn Bed & Breakfast given the proximity to the embassies with the original intention of only staying 2 days. However, we ended up staying for 5 days in total. Reason being, Sumitra Inn had the feeling of a home instead of stuffy hotel with the owners consistently checking in on our comfort, the service was excellent - from breakfast, to being able to take cold bottles of water out for the day, to tasty home made food. Additionally, the owner's son Tarun was available via phone constantly which was especially helpful as we were unfamiliar with the area (spoke to the Taxi for directions late night; assisted us with taxi setups for day tours and when the taxi guy tried to rip us off, he handled the situation with the taxi agency directly instead; to setting up a day trip to Agra Taj Mahal; to guidance on places to eat/hang out/coffee shops) which really set apart this place from all the rest I've stayed at in Delhi. Likewise, when we had to meet guests, there was a welcome area to host our relatives too! As for the rooms, they were in good condition and so were the bathrooms. Me and my husband felt absolutely comfortable and loved our trip to New Delhi, thanks to Tarun and Sumitra Inn.
