This hotel is clearly one of the best in Delhi. The restaurants were first rate as was the pool and health club. We were treated very well. Lovely hotel, room was clean, staff helpful and friendly, and food superb, particularly in the Masala art restaurant. Would definitely recommend.t. Would definitely recommend.

Room was perfect with all the necessary amenities and service was also fine. Before staying in this hotel, we heard the name of Taj group, and it is as per its name.

we have all our conferences in ashoka so we were always staying in ashoka samrat. this time we thought of having a change and opted for taj palace.and what a great change it was.from our entry, at the front desk , the room and amenities, the staff, everything was so perfect that i must say though we always stay in five star hotels and the experience was always good the taj experience was really outstanding

When entering into the hotel, it was noticeably clean and well taken care of. Very elegant. Check in was quick, easy, and receptionist was very polite. After checkin, you are escorted to your room. Room was very nice, modern, and spacious. I would suggest having the mini bar emptied, if you don't plan on using it. That way you won't be paying for liquor that you didn't take. I was charged for a bottle that I didn't take. Breakfast is buffet type and there is many varieties to choose from. I would suggest bringing your own instant coffee. Getting coffee is hard to get. Also, if you like eggs, order them at the counter and wait for them. Sometimes they don't get delivered to your table. Overall, the hotel staff is very friendly and always give you a nice welcome. The main reason for a rating of Very Good and not an Excellent is due to the seventh floor Taj Club Lounge. This is a very nice looking Lounge, but the service was lacking. I've been at the Taj Palace for an extended period of time and quit going to the lounge after the 3rd time. First time was good. Second time, it took me 20 minutes to give my order. The 3rd time, there was 6 people in the lounge. Four of those people came in after me, but were served before me. I sat there for 30 minutes and was not waited on. One couple commented to me that maybe the wait staff was too busy to take my order. There was only six other customers. I finally got up and left. It made you feel a little embarrassed just sitting there watching the waiters ignore you. They were well staffed and no reason for this to happen. When I mentioned my experience to the hotel about the lounge incident, they gave a pleasant smile and said I should try it again. Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident, but this is a review of my experience and to give you a more inside information when picking out a place to stay in New Delhi. Do not keep your expectations too high. That way, you won't be too disappointed if things go bad. My stay at the Taj Palace has been for 2 months. I have another 2 months to go before I leave. If there is any change, I will update this review.

Very attentive staff! I received bindi and bangles upon arrival. Excellent restaurants! Comfortable rooms, not very big. Wear a face mask in New Delhi due to pollution. Easy to reserve a guide with a chauffered Mercedes.

Really loved the place. The ambience, the service, everything. You feel like a king. The bar was also terrific. It was really a very relaxing affair. The food at The Capital Kitchen was superb. The taste was mouth watering.

Really enjoyed the detail of the service offered by the hotel, very impressive. In particular follow up of room service in remembering previous items ordered (you had xxx for breakfast yesterday, would you like the same again), the check in experience was great (no going to reception), and check out was fast. Food was really extremely good.

Excellent place to stay in less hectic part of Delhi, great value fo money and very attentive team. restaurants very good , and also nice bar , it was cold in Delhi at the time and the bar was a bit cold bust still a good experience.
