This hotel is clearly one of the best in Delhi. The restaurants were first rate as was the pool and health club. We were treated very well. Lovely hotel, room was clean, staff helpful and friendly, and food superb, particularly in the Masala art restaurant. Would definitely recommend.t. Would definitely recommend.

we have all our conferences in ashoka so we were always staying in ashoka samrat. this time we thought of having a change and opted for taj palace.and what a great change it was.from our entry, at the front desk , the room and amenities, the staff, everything was so perfect that i must say though we always stay in five star hotels and the experience was always good the taj experience was really outstanding

Our stay at Taj Palace was simply grand from the minute they picked us up at the airport after 20 hours of travel. The hotel itself is gorgeous with two lovely dining rooms and several nice outdoor dining areas. The staff is superb and not just because they've entertained and cared for royalty. Everyone is given excellent care from the wait staff, the front desk, the house keepers; all are beautifully trained. The hostess at the restaurant even made sure I had the recipe to one of my favorite dishes. They were just delightful. We also loved our room located on the concierge floor where we were treated to a lovely high tea, breakfast and cocktail hours when we wanted. Even though this is a large hotel and used for conventions, it was exceptional and I would highly recommend it.

Taj - as the name suggest, is like a crown. I have stayed here more than 200 nights over last few years and never found any reason to complain or any opportunity to improve.. their renowned "Masala Art" restaurant can give tough fights to any best restaurant in the world.. The newly refurbished "capital kitchen" is a state of the art restaurant - another great option.. the newly renovated floors, the lounge on 7th floor, various other restaurants , spa swimming pool etc etc .. I can just go on and on and on.. A perfect place to visit. Chances are you will see a celebrity or a state guest during your stay..!!!

The hotel is delightful - a great welcome from the staff- really comfortable room - fantastic food and service. I had a stunning massage and the Spa is really good. I would suggest the Blue Bar - should be more mindful of outside temperatures - it was really cold with air con blasting (which in summer would be welcome but it's cold! )

When entering into the hotel, it was noticeably clean and well taken care of. Very elegant. Check in was quick, easy, and receptionist was very polite. After checkin, you are escorted to your room. Room was very nice, modern, and spacious. I would suggest having the mini bar emptied, if you don't plan on using it. That way you won't be paying for liquor that you didn't take. I was charged for a bottle that I didn't take. Breakfast is buffet type and there is many varieties to choose from. I would suggest bringing your own instant coffee. Getting coffee is hard to get. Also, if you like eggs, order them at the counter and wait for them. Sometimes they don't get delivered to your table. Overall, the hotel staff is very friendly and always give you a nice welcome. The main reason for a rating of Very Good and not an Excellent is due to the seventh floor Taj Club Lounge. This is a very nice looking Lounge, but the service was lacking. I've been at the Taj Palace for an extended period of time and quit going to the lounge after the 3rd time. First time was good. Second time, it took me 20 minutes to give my order. The 3rd time, there was 6 people in the lounge. Four of those people came in after me, but were served before me. I sat there for 30 minutes and was not waited on. One couple commented to me that maybe the wait staff was too busy to take my order. There was only six other customers. I finally got up and left. It made you feel a little embarrassed just sitting there watching the waiters ignore you. They were well staffed and no reason for this to happen. When I mentioned my experience to the hotel about the lounge incident, they gave a pleasant smile and said I should try it again. Hopefully, this is just an isolated incident, but this is a review of my experience and to give you a more inside information when picking out a place to stay in New Delhi. Do not keep your expectations too high. That way, you won't be too disappointed if things go bad. My stay at the Taj Palace has been for 2 months. I have another 2 months to go before I leave. If there is any change, I will update this review.
