Mohammad Abrar from New Delhi, India recommends this hotel Posted:  Room Quality: 3/5 Service Quality: 5/5 Dining Quality: 5/5 Cleanliness: 5/5

The hotel had great service and had enough options for dining. The only minor concern was that of room service not being pro active enough to change glasses, shampoos, towels, etc. But all in all,a nice experience.

by Airynsh on January 4, 2017

The hotel is very very big, the lobby is very nice, look luxury and big, but the nice thing only for the first impression in the lobby, after that you will find everything need to upgrade. It is only old hotel tha really really need to improve. The ball room , the room, the bath room and everything about the hotel need to change.....

Have been to many hotels..but none can beat the charm of this place. From the building to rooms, from services to food.. everything impeccable. Wonderful Lobby, spacious rooms, great food, humanitarian staff unlike plastic faces!!!!

It took us 20 mins to reach hotel by taxi from International Airport I will start with the entrance of The Ashok New Delhi, Very grand hotel with beautiful green surroundings. Staff at the reception was polite but it took very long to check in as everything seemed like a mess, may be because the hotel was very busy that night. As soon as we entered our room, that's when our nightmare started. Room was worse than a filthy railway station lodge. It was extremely dark, small and filthy. We were soooo glad that we were only there for 1 night. In the morning we were so shocked to find poo, yes POO sticking to the shower curtain. Everything looked so unhygienic, felt like vomiting. We couldn't use anything in that room except bed to sleep for few hours. Buffet breakfast was included in our room. It was above average with cooked and cold varieties to choose from. We used their tour desk next day for Delhi sightseeing. Service was great/prices were pretty genuine. They also stored our luggage in the storage room as we were leaving that day. NO We will never return to this hotel. Not recommended.

Great property poorly maintained... Great property poorly maintained...

Prominently located near chanakyapuri, this is one of the grand and oldest hotel in delhi but is not maintained well. I visited this place for lunch arranged by my sibling last month. The food was good and ambience was great.. Outer building can be maintained well for keeping the star ratings...

Could have been a great place to stay Could have been a great place to stay

The property is located in a very nice surrounding in the Lutyens Zone very close to the diplomatic enclave. However, despite its grandeur it is not one of the best place to stay. Rooms are large having all facilities yet lack the proper maintenance and service. Staff is not caring.

Demo Trip Don't accept a room near the disco area on a Friday or during the weekend. However, they will change your room if you ask politely.
