Ideal place to stay, locationally was quite central to everything around. We had to visit on one day in Pragati Maidan for an exhibition and the next day to go towards Manesar and Gurgaon, to both places we could go quite comfortably, also there are quite a few dining options around, so you are not stuck up for choice. Hotel room and bed etc is fine.
We stayed with A group fr.o.m. Sweden for four nights. We are very satisfied with the hotel and its personal.
We cleaned a lot of clothes and are very satisfied with the result.
Nice shopping areas close to the hotel
I can recommend this hotel
One of the finest place in New Delhi to live . Best staff and very good food . Worth every penny spent . Special mention of Mr Vikas , who takes utmost care of customer requirements. Will surely stay again whenever in delhi .
I stayed for 7 nights at the Ashtan Sarovar Portico hotel in February-March of 2017. Overall, I had good stay at the hotel and would recommend it to people.
The hotel is in a good location in the Green Park neighborhood, close to the Green Park metro station. It is a small hotel, located off of a busy street. There is a street of amenities not too far from the hotel, with bank machines, grocery stores, chain restaurants (such as Costa Coffee, Dominos and Dunkin Donuts) and pharmacies.
The rooms were a bit on the small side, but had all the basics that you need (including a mini-bar, hair dryer, TV with English stations such as CNN and BBC, and comfortable bedding). The Wifi worked well and I had no problems. The rooms were quite dark and lighting could be improved. Make sure to ask for a room not facing the street, as it can be quite noisy in the mornings with traffic.
The hotel does have a free breakfast and it is located in their restaurant called Twenty One Coffee Shop. It covers all the basics with both Continental and Indian options. The breakfast was good (with options such as fruit, cereals, bread, juices), but nothing fantastic.
The hotel does offer transportation services such as an airport transfer and 4 or 8 hour taxi rental options. However, those services are a bit expensive compared to other local companies, so best to check around.
The staff were very helpful in answering all my questions. However, I was frustrated by getting conflicting information from different staff members about a few issues. I was told at first that I could exchange money at the hotel, and only later found out that this was not possible on the weekend (without an extra fee). I did eventually find that the Standard Charter Bank in the Green Park market area had an ATM that accepted international visa cards.
Overall, I had a good stay and would recommend this hotel. The location is good, as it is away from the hustle and bustle of Delhi.
Stayed in the Ashtan Sarovar Portico for 4 nights. It's a nice hotel in the busy Green Park area. Although some reviewers have had reservations about the size of the room, we found it fairly okay. The rooms are very clean and the housekeeping staff do a great job. The quality of food is good and prices at the in house restaurant 'Twenty Ten' are reasonable, though the breakfast menu could be expanded. The wifi in the rooms are intermittent. One of the major issues is with the bathroom amenities. While the toiletries which are provided are very good, yet not providing a toothbrush kit, comb and hair conditioner is something that defies all reason. The same goes for the lack of bathroom slippers and bathrobes which are standard across other hotels of the same category. Hope the management will have a look into this.
The hotel staff are courteous enough. One of the major advantages of the property that we liked is its silence even though it was fully booked and we found the property very safe.
Will definitely visit again.
