My mum and I spent our first 2 nights at Tree of Life before joining with a group tour
We arrived at 1am and were greeted at the airport by the driver which Ashwani arranged. It was very nice after a long day of travelling to see a sign with our name on it
We were then greeted by a smiling Raju at the homestay who showed us to our room
After a few hours sleep we were invited to join in the local Holi celebration at a nearby park, what a great way to spend our first day!
The rooms are spacious, huge marble bathroom and the most comfortable firm beds
For breakfast there is fresh fruit and yoghurt, eggs cooked any way, toast and great coffee
The neighbourhood is lovely and tree lined and so nice to walk around with all the neighbours greeting you
Such a quiet little haven in a crazy busy city!
Raju and Ashwani really made the stay, always there with a smile and to answer any questions we had
I would definitely stay here again
Good place for a delhi visit. Arrived here at 3am (welcomed by the staff) and stayed for two days. Clean and big rooms in a quiet area of Delhi. 5 Minutes from Metro Station so it's easy to start from here.
Very good hotel and very friendly staff!
My daughter and I spent 4 nights at The Tree of Life..This was our second visit. The room was large, bright, modern and very comfortable and the location of the guest house perfect for the metro and the shops at Saket. But what made the stay so special for us was the help and personal attention given to us by the owner, Ashwani (who stays on the top floor of the building) and the staff. Ashwani would come down every morning to make sure everything was okay and to answer any questions we might have. He organised a car for us daily with a wonderful driver, Ajit, who was polite, punctual and seemed to know everything there is to know about Delhi. Ashwani even organised Hindi classes for my daughter with a retired teacher in Saket. The staff - Raju, Bishnu and Om - were fabulous: morning tea in our room if we wanted it, a varied breakfast, dinner if we didn't feel like going out in the evening. They organised for our laundry to go to the 'dhobi', for the drycleaners to pick up and deliver the clothes, and one night, when we arrived quite late, Om was there to receive us and make sure we got to our room safely. It was a thoroughly pleasurable stay and I would recommend The Tree of Life without hesitation.
This place is a gem. The owner and staff want to please at every turn. The location is on the metro in the suburbs - perfect for travel everywhere and quiet streets for easy walking. It was my first experience in northern India. As two older Americans we felt safe and totally taken care of. It was an amazing start to a great holiday.
Steve and I stayed with Ashwani at Tree of Life when we arrived in India at the beginning of December 2016. As with most everyone else, we arrived in the middle of the night. Ashwani had sent a driver who was waiting and it is heartening to see that sign with your name on it after two days traveling. When we arrived at Tree of Life, Raju welcomed us and our room was ready and just as we had expected. In the morning, Ashwani was right there to welcome us himself at breakfast and to offer his assistance while we stayed; we took advantage of his expert, thoughtful and right-on advice for those first days and it really helped us to get accustomed to Delhi. The metro is a short walk away and it is easy to use and in great shape. and a couple of blocks away is a convenient tuk-tuk location. We were there for just a few days and then travelled on to Rishikesh an then Rajasthan. We felt so at home at Tree of Life that we contacted Ashwani on short notice to see if he could fit us in 6 weeks later for the last two weeks of our India trip. Of course, he did all he could to get us settled into our room and we spend the final weeks of our trip installed, like family, with Ashwani and his caring crew Raju, Om and Bishnu who were ready to help, always, in any way they could. Raju also cooks a great breakfast and dinner and Om brought some great southern India tastes to our breakfast on several occasions. while we are anxious to get home to Hawaii after two months, it felt a bit sad to leave our room and to say goodbye to the guys for the last time. Really, we totally and with complete confidence recommend Tree of Life if you want warm and loving environment to come home to each evening.
