hotel looks good till reception, room is ok, but they have to change old bed with good blankets. hot water is available only from morning 7 to 9. but ok if asked they get the bucket of hot water.service is good.

1. Front desk was courteous 2. Lifts was not working most of the time due to electricity. It was very bad for my Mom as she had to climb 2 floors 3. Unclean balcony with black dust sticking to our feet, no foot mats, given only on demand. 4. Even though the site mentioned as 24 hrs H/C water. Hot water was available only from 7:30 to 9:30 AM and then it was provided on demand. 5. Staff was very good in assiting with anything.

The hotel is well located in the heart of City. all major destinations like CBD, Lake and Botanical Garden are pretty close by! Parking is ample in the back side of the hotel. I found its restaurant very good - neat, clean and tasty food!! BTW it was too cheap compared to other hotels in Ooty!! Worth every penny spent their..

A very bad place not for family to stay , I recently had booked 2rooms for my family which included my dad who was disabled when I reached the place the staff said the rooms are only available on second floor and he wont give us the rooms which we booked in the first floor and the irony is he even mentioned that the lifts are not working when I said we spoke to you about this earlier as my dad is disabled and can't climb the stairs ... The cold hearted management said you can look for another hotel we can't and won't help you ...... this kind of places should be shut down who doesn't understand the value of customer service and cheats people ....

We opted for family room which was very spacious and the hotel is located in the heart of ooty. The service or the ambiance was great. We really had a pleasant stay here. Just it is slightly over priced.

Room was large and very well heated - which I appreciated given the external temperature. Insonoriation is inexistant. I had a room on the back side but still could hear all the noise from the street because the corridor has large openings to the street.

I planned to visit Ooty during the Puja Holidays, i.e. Oct, 2016. Most of the Hotels were full. On IBIBO I found an accomodation in a Hotel called Glanton Manor. I read the reviews for the hotel and found them to be quite contrasting. One of the reviews stated that the hotel has a habit of goofing up the bookings. However, since it was located very close to the city centre and not many near about hotels were available, I booked a room in that Hotel. To be on the safe side I opted for the Pay at Hotel option. To ensure that I do not land up in any trouble, I decided to be on a constant follow up. I called the Hotel on 8th Oct, and talked to the hotel reception to confirm that I had booked an accommodation in their Hotel from 9th Oct. The answer was affirmative. Now I was quite relaxed. I repeated the same on 9th morning and told the receptionist that we are on the way and will be reaching the Hotel by 1700 Hrs. The response was again positive. They confirmed the room was booked and available. I reached the Hotel Desk at 1600Hrs. and quite to my surprise, the same reception fellow simply denied that any accommodation was booked. He told that they had received only one booking from IBIBO and that person had already been checked in. When I produced the booking confirmation note, they suggested that I should talk to IBIBO. They said that the confirmation they gave on phone was a case of mistaken identity. After repeated discussions between myself, IBIBO and Glanton Manor, the result was that they did not have any accommodation. IBIBO suggested another Hotel, which was exorbitantly expensive (approx. 17000 per night), especially when I was planning for a 4 day stay. So I had to look for another hotel with night approaching and all hotels almost packed. My Suggestion: In case you are planning for this hotel, please do not believe that you will get an accommodation even if you have booked for it well in advance.

Decent place located centrally .. Walkable distance from Botanical garden,market, restaurants etc. Room was clean & staffs were quite helpful. Dining was average. Overall it was a decent experience staying at this place.
