Location was excellent. Our room was good but the bathroom interior was not so appealing. The food was average in taste. The service provided by the staff was decent. Overall a an average stay in this hotel.
Nice clean basic rooms with proactive staff. Strategically located - near the town but away from the crowds. Commands a good scenic view from the room. Decent. Good value for money.
my stay at hill country holiday resorts was good, infact very good, the location is excellent with a beautiful valleyview, the hotel is very good with good rooms and very good service, the room service was efficient and restaurant service was very good, the food was good, breakfast was excellent, overall it was a very good experience and my kids really enjoyed, though i would say the hotel is little far from the market as all good hotels are....and the directions to the hotel are not shown anywhere on the way, find it very suprising and nor they are mentioned on the website of the hotel, and though the area mentioned is lovedale but the hotel's approach from lovedale station is bad,...i would suggest for people who wanna go to this hotel better take coonoor road from charring cross and cross the first junction which says lovedale 3 kms and go ahead, immediately take the first right though it is narrow but it does mention the hotels name and you can also ask for sagar resorts which is just next to the hotel, overall the experience was very good, and i would definetely recommend this hotel and another advise to fellow travellers, its better to keep a vehicle with you always or arrange for it from ooty market as the hotel doesnt have a taxi stand or auto stand in the vicinity.
The rooms were well maintained and the service was also very quick and prompt. The place is very beautiful one can see the beautiful view from the room like mountains and hills. The breakfast was also very good in taste.
The resort is located on a hill with a complete view of the valley and is very peaceful. We enjoyed our stay very much.

We stayed in the deluxe suite which as a 'suite' was nothing special. However I must mention it offered lovely views of the valley. The resort is away from the crowd of the city and it's quite nicely built with breathtaking views. The room service was fine; up to the standards required. The breakfast was pretty sad and very few options. My only complaint is that the food tasted really bad and was exorbitantly priced considering the quality. One cup of milk for 115 rupees! Else not a bad option to stay in ooty.
One of the Best Scenic View Premium Rooms that i had stayed in my life time is Hill Country, Lovedale. The most interesting thing about this property is that it is close to ooty but not crowded even during Peak and second season as it is situated few Kilometers away from Ooty on the way from Coonoor. You can see the Train tracks and the Heritage Train from your Room which is very exciting for kids. The complimentary breakfast that they offer is average in quality and food in Restaurant is priced very expensive.
I stayed here with my family for 2 nights. I booked 'Deluxe Suite'; on arrival I realized has no view. Window is blinded by a hill. Also room doesn't qualify to be called a suite. I immediately shifted to 'premium cottage'. I had to shell out additional bucks but it was a lot better option. After this initial hiccup We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This property has stunning valley view . Be it day-break, sunset or night sky, We enjoyed all shades of nature. It was such a peaceful and rejuvenating experience. Wifi is good. Restaurant is also ok. They have limited options in printed menu but they could prepare additional dishes as per our requirement. Breakfast has limited options but it meets the requirement. You may have to climb quite a few steps to reach your room or restaurant. Its not so difficult; Just be aware of the fact. It is a good place to sit n relax if you stay in cottage.
The resort is situated 4 kms before main Ooty in Lovedale . - Food ( homely style) not the usual hotel stuffs , I liked it very Much - Friendly Staff - Room that we Stayed Clean and neat - Good Ambience , Great Valley View -Suggestion , can add some more menu items preferably South India for Dinner :) :) Thanks to the team at Ooty Hill Country
Premium suite has an awesome view of Ketty valley and apart from this I didn't like anything in this resort. Most of service staff doesn't understand Hindi or English. It becomes very difficult to make them understand things. There is no garden area here, no proper area for Bonfire, no music near to Bonfire. Bonfire was really sad. Restaurant interiors are below average. I ordered pakoras in the evening and thought of ordering dinner as well. These pakoras were so bad and so oily that I could hardly eat one piece and have return it back to them (even after telling them on their face) they didn't make it complimentary or didn't gave any substitute. At last, I ordered pizza from Domino's. Morning breakfast is ok. With 7k for premium suite, there are loads of options in ooty. Try Taj Savoy in these rates. I went to hill country just because last year I visited there Kodaikanal property which is far better than this one. Verdict: waste of money, go to sterling or taj.
