Nice and warm place . Spacious parking. Very close to tourist spots in ooty . Restaurant is non functional . Good restaurants are available close-by both nonveg and veg. Staff is highly cooperative . They were quite helpful with security at gate to take care of our car.

I was visited Ooty in January, 2015 with my family. For food, you have to depends only on hotel as no good quality restaurants are available beside the hotel. Food quality of hotel is not so good. Rooms are moderate. Behavior of the Hotel staff are not up to the mark. Hot water were not supplied 24 hrs, it was supplied for a particular time which was not useful.

Rooms were nice. Enjoyed the stay. But had to struggle for lunch/dinner because of its outside the city location. Plus the restaurant was closed from the day we checked in. Also breakfast was managed in other restaurants with poor food quality.

I have been to Ooty with my family and stayed at hotel blue bird for four nights. The rooms are big and spacious. The restaurant is totally disgusting. The breakfast served was very poor. Mainly it's the bar where people come to. When we stayed the owner asked us to go outside to eat. The view wasn't good from windows. It is a budget hotel but not a luxurious one. Also there's no lift so you better get the first floor if possible. When we stayed there the restaurant was closed for two days so we have to bring tea from outside in the morning. The food is terrible but if you want to only stay then you can go for it.

I was visited Ooty on May 2015 with Family and Took 2 rooms. I made late review but we felt happy when we stayed in the Hotel. Pros: 1. Hotel is Good 2. Staff is respectful & understandable. 3. Very near all the places and to get the things outside. Cons: 1. should concentrate on cleaning, because when we visited that time have heavy rain, obviously it will be wet. 2. Should suppose to give/keep extra blankets (climate is too cold during last year May 15-20) 3. Should supply Hot water ( because people will not use when they supply). 4. It shall be good to have hotel (breakfast &meals), because its not easy to go out side for even tea during heavy raining and too cold whether. My overall rating is good and sure if I visit next time I visit this hotel Blue Bird Only.
