I had booked this hotel (2 rooms) well in advance via travel guru. As I was travelling with my own car and had a driver, I was specific about arrangement for my driver and parking for my car. As we were at Ooty as tourist, intention was to invest time on visiting sites & use hotel only to take rest at night and freshen up for next morning. My driver got the dormitory to sleep, my car got a parking and we got good bed to sleep. Not bad at this price (less than Rs. 1000/room/day). One wouldn't like it much if plan is to spend time in hotel, relaxing & chilling out. Hotel is in heart of the city and is not a resort. Rooms are small. TV is CRT 21". Hot water is available in morning from 7 to 9. If you order for a tea, it will be served in steel glass (don't expect the tray, saucer etc.). There is no towel or soap for use. This is something I was expecting. However, considering the cost, I carried my own stuff too. We had no issues as we had a good night sleep, woke up at 7 and checked out by 9. If your expectations are limited this is a decent place.

The service was extremely poor. We had made reservations for a double room with an extra bed. The staff dumped a mattress on the floor and insisted that was what they had agreed for. They did not upgrade the facility nor gave a refund. Housekeeping was rude and refused to follow through on any request without their manager's permission, who was perpetually missing from the hotel and was supposedly managing some shop elsewhere. The rooms were dirty, with a layer of dust on the floor and smelly carpet and pillows. The bathroom had dirty smudges everywhere and leaky taps. Towels and soap were made available only after repeated demands. For much of the time the geyser was turned off from the main switch board with no staff available to turn it on. There was no lift and the stairs were narrow, making carrying luggage difficult. In this scenario we thought it best to not sample the food. Certainly an experience to be avoided.

This hotel is located very near to the bus stand and railway station. It is very easy to locate and provides good accommodation at very reasonable rate.

The rooms were clean and well done, especially the rest rooms. There is a small restaurant in the building, it's not great but you get basic food there. The rooms service is OK. We settled in for this place as we were not going to spend much time in the room during the day. We did get irritated on one day when we came in little early in the evening and there was carpentry work going in the adjacent rooms, we had to tell them multiple times until which they did not stop the work but later on speaking to the owner they stopped the work. The hotel is in the main bazaar road(dingy street) so if anyone is expecting to enjoy the beauty of Ooty from their rooms then this is not the place. All in all for Rs.1200 per room it was worth it except for the noisy work in the adjacent rooms.

It is one of the best hotels in ooty. The food is very good in fact it is the only hotel in ooty that gives chappatis made of pure wheat. Good room service and it is worth the money.The managing staff is very well organised. The owners are very calm and co-operative.

Wanted to stay here for five days. But no restaurant and the disappointment started. As night fell u had to live with five rats. Yes stayed with five rats through out the night and could not even try to get some sleep. Check the room for fowl smell of rats. One of the worst places o have ever stayed.

Utterly arrogant reception. Our bus was reaching Ooty 2 hrs early than their check in time. Before booking i checked with them if we can have early check-in, then only i will book it. They said a BIG yes yes yes. And i booked the hotel, also called them up before starting that we would do a early check-in. When we reached, all kinds of drama started that room is not ready, check-in time is 12, they were not even talking properly. If you follow check-in time is 12, then why did you agree at the first place that early check-in is possible. And we were finally asked to upgrade to a deluxe room by paying extra bucks. We had to agree coz we had a little nephew with us and he was tired from the bus travel. We had taken this so called budget hotel coz we had to planned to visit many places around ooty and not just relax in the hotel room. But when we entered, the damp smell and damp bed. Horriblly poorly maintained. Dont know if that was the condition of the deluxe room, then what would be the condition of the standard room. Restaurant floor and plates and glasses, tea cups of aadim zamana also was not at all clean. We came back and preferred to take breakfast in the room itself and leave the room asap. NEVER EVER AGAIN.
