Shiv Shanti Grand in ooty is an excellent hotel except 1) NO restaurent attached with this hotel only lodging,2)Its distance from the downtown and bus stand is at least 3 km , you must need a car hired or expensive auto to bge taken for to and fro journey.

Location of the hotel is completely cut off from the main stream. To reach the hotel one has to travel almost 2kms eventhough the distance is not quite long the problem is that the hotel is located on the other end of Ooty. Quality of the food that was available was worst. Even when the temperature was around 3 degrees hot water was provided only at one point of the day. On the whole one still has better options than this.

Parking space available. I guess its safe as it is next to front desk. Hotel is a little far - 2kms from the ooty bus stand. can be accessed by bus (5Rs point) from railway station stop. Decent room and bathroom. Bed and Beddings were good. Hot water available from 6am to 9am No bath towels, soaps, Shower, shampoo, moisturizer etc:-, eventhough I dont prefer these. Room is of a little small in size. LCD TV available (24" I guess), with channels in different languages. Room service and response from front desk were good. Food service, you should expect some delay, as it is brought from another hotel nearby, better to get it yourself. Overall the stay was good. Hotel is decent and value for money.

Service is not that good. When asked for water they have given hot water. For having bath they are not providing the hot water in the night. In the morning we have to wait for 1/2 an hour for hot water.

Demo Trip Please pay another 500 bukcs extra and go for a good hotel, even in season if the rooms not available cancel your trip rather than staying in this hotel.
