Stay in palace is undoubtedly a best experience that one can have. This place truly fulfils your expectations. Enjoyed all 3 meals during our stay. Excellent location, great service and fabulous hospitality. I strongly recommend this place. Ideal for a family

This is a beautiful hotel in the photos but is not being properly maintained and managed. The rooms are spacious but cold, the electric went out over 10 times in the course of 1 evening. The hot water is turned on only at specific times. The "Bar" wasn't even manned and only beer and wine available (even though the liquor is on display). The activities are minimal and its just far away from everything. Wifi was only available in the lobby (which didn't really seem like a lobby). If they want to keep this place going it needs to have more staff and more energy. I felt like I was in a Wes Anderson movie. Staff was nice and food was ok but just not enough to recommend it to anyone.

This place will take you back to the royal heritage of south India. This was an old palace of Mysore ruler and it's still maintained in that way. They had retained the photographs of the royal family which will give a glimpse of the life they had lead. This place is calm and away from the hustle and bustle of ooty. Rooms are spacious and old heritage style. Bathrooms are well equipped. We were a group of eight people and had nice time here. The whole property is so wonderful. We had horse riding on request. We had gone for cycling around the property. One major issue I found here was hot water supply which was available only from 6-10 am and pm. And the breakfast buffet was really a disaster. Otherwise we had an amazing time here.

Its a Grand OLD place, its run down , badly maintained- its freezing in the nights heating system doesnt work and no hot water(old boiler), 2017 and they have no water heaters , the hotel is not cheap at 150 dollors a night its a waste. This is our second trip here and it has only become more run down, the staff are super helpful and enthusiastic but when the management is indifferent what can they do. No bar license , no tandoor for barbecue, no working fireplace ,buggies in disrepair, hair dryer not working , dont waste ur money coming here. @Heritagehotels pl get out of thre

We visited this hotel for lunch on our recent visit to Ooty. The place is awe inspiring and truly a palace. It's owned by the erstwhile Maharaja of Mysore and the family history is there all over for all to see. Hospitality was excellent and food was ok. What put us off was that the only credit card swiper available in the hotel was not working. Can you imagine that in this day and age, they have only one credit card swiper? And that too a land line connected one! They expect the guests to walk over to reception to key in the pin number. On the day of our visit, that one credit card machine was not even functioning. We had to pay cash and with the prevalent condition, we did feel extremely peeved. Wish they would give more attention to details. The property is wonderful and for a heritage hotel, upkeep seemed to be excellent, although we did not stay there. Uthay or whatever his name was at the reception could have shown more concern and empathy.

Demo Trip The average room carpet area is around 1000 sq. ft. Each suite has a big hall, spacious bed room, very large bathrooms with jacuzzi.
