A place I will always remember very fondly for its beauty and my wonderful hosts. A place I will always remember very fondly for its beauty and my wonderful hosts.

The Sarin's (The host family) take every measure necessary to keep you comfortable and every arrangement right from travel to your food is overseen by them through trusted vendors and aides. The place itself is beautiful and definitely worth visiting in october or early november when the flowers are in bloom. The gardens and the view from the cottages are like nothing else and the smell of the woods at night is more than worth sitting out in the cold for. The home cooked food is perfect for travelers who require a restful and rejuvenating experience. The accomodations are cosy and classy, there is literally nothing I could think of that was missing from this sanctuary.

Scenic Place to Stay Scenic Place to Stay

Cottages in midst of tea plantation is good to stay away from city crowd. The cottages are good & cold during night. The food is expensive but tastes good. Very minimum staff ( only one staff) for 6 cottages to cook, room service, maintenance. Difficult to commute without own vehicle as the cottage is located away from the town & no taxi is available nearby for any emergency.

October os the perfect time to be here. The weather is just right, lots of blue sky and not hot here in the mountains. Astounding freshness in the air and great hosts. One of the most beautiful places on eart a hidden gem. If you want to unwind with a book and let nature and the sound of birds coupled with amazing food detox you- go stay here! I do and never regret it.

Good but expensive Good but expensive

Location - Its deep inside a village for which you will have cross the military area. The cottages are with thick tea garden & forest covers. There are no mountain views from here but trust me you will miss them because the view of Dhauladhar mountains are breathtaking. Cottages - Good, simple Cottages...located at a distance of approx. 20 feet from each other. The balconies are good with view of tea garden. However bathrooms are very basic & needs to maintenance as the water from cistern was leaking. Geyser takes a long time to heat up. There is no TV/WiFi connection but phone signals are OK. They have a common room where there is a TV kept which one can watch. There is no activity which you can do at property except just to laze around. No activity for kids. Hence some bicycles, a hammock, some books/novels are requested to add with Mr. Sarin. Service - Mr. Sarin, who is the owner of this property is a humble man who told us the places which we can visit nearby & had some little chit chat. They have one person deputed for the whole day who made food & did some other chores. This person is very low on energy. For eg. when we told him that there is a water leakage in bathroom, he told that it is an old problem & whenever plumber will come next, it will be corrected. Food - They do not give a MAP plan so food is not included. The food is really really expensive(500/person for dinner & 250/person for Breakfast). The problem is that there is no kettle provided in the room. You literally crave for tea when its a little cold. Get some of your own snack while staying there. You will have to walk for around a KM to get some basic snacks. The food menu for breakfast had only two options(Bread omelette/Aalu paratha) & similarly for night fixed menu(6 items-one sabji, one paneer/chicken, one daal, rice, roti & a sweet) by cook. Food taste is OK, not bad. Overall, it was a good experience but they can certainly improve upon.
