We went there as recommended by our friends. I wen not expecting much, but came out very satisfied with a few hours of guided tour to this property. Excellent work done by them. I was introduced to variety of botanical plants that I had not heard before. My wife and child enjoyed the adventure activities at the farm.
There are different types of cottages available & all at same cost. Apart from the ability to experience a certain type of cottage, it also provides a lot of variety of plants, cultivation techniques & even post harvest management techniques - it is like a master class in farming.
The activities like obstacle course, basket making, Warli painting etc keep you completely engaged on your trip. But it is not all work, you get sufficient time & places to relax.
The hospitality is amazing & makes you feel completely at home.
We traveled as a large group had booked 2 loft huts & Tulsi Vrindavan.
Lots of activities like farm Tour, Fishing, Zip Line and many other activities. Walk around the place is relaxing to sooth frayed nerves. Personal Involvement of Mr. Save in showing you around the farm ads a warm touch.
Good homely food though they follow strict timings for Breakfast lunch & Dinner, which are acceptable.
Fresh vegetables, fruits & Pickles are also available for sale outside their office.
Just go & Enjoy, you will not regret it.
We recently around Christmas-2016, had a stay at TARPA (Save) Farm, we were in a group of about 14 people including children. We had not expected much, but were suprised and left speechless by all that it had to offer. We had booked 3 rooms and 1 machan (tree-house). The kids went like joyfully crazy when they saw the machan. The rooms were spacious, neat and tidy with all amenities included. The food was simple and homely and tasty. The stay also had some activities bundled in. For example, there was a farm trip, where they took us all to their farm. Their senior took us around and explained us as to how they were utilizing modern agri-concepts to optimize nature's offerings to get maximum output from the farm. stuff such as solar-energy, food/waste-recycling for natural compost, rain-water-harvesting, fish-farming, vertical-multi-layered farming etc. They also showed us the breadth and variety of items that were being cultivated in their farm from various fruit trees, to flowers, to herbs to medicinal plants of exotic nature etc.
This was mind blowing and educational and informative. What further was the icing on the cake was the activities like rappling over their small pond, rope climbing etc which kept us all active, energetic and thrilled. The next day we also were given demonstration of warli-paintings and crafts etc. We tried our hand too, though were not much successful. At night we did a small bon-fire to enjoy the pleasant weather.
Last, but not the least - the Chikku-Chutney in breakfast was ...mmmm...delicious! Bought 4 packets for family and friends.
Further it is close to Bordi and Dahanu beaches which are less crowded, serene and enjoyable.
Overall, it was a short holiday, refreshing and educational at same time and opened our eyes to the potential that we as India have should we adopt the modern farming and agricultural techniques.
A big THUMBS UP and THANKS to the management for opening up their farm for visitors, students, corporate's and welcoming them to a world of Agri-Tourism.
Agri-Tourism at its very best - TARPA (SAVE) Farms.
Go for it - one and all!!
Had a wonderful stay at Save Farms. We were in a big family group of nine. Save farms is a welcome new concept. It is a farm stay and eco awareness camp in one. Very good for children. Lots of activities that you generally don't get elsewhere such as a detailed tour of the farm given personally by the property owners..knowledge on various farming techniques..Bee keeping! Food preservation
..Water harvesting...tribal culture..tribal art..plus the things that excite kids..Farm animals..goats..hens. Some basic adventure sports are also part of the tour.
This is a beautiful place to stay..feel very close to nature. Accommodation food and service are basic and efficient. But we loved it. This is like an extension of ones home rather than a resort (if you are too fussy about room service and avant garde facilities..Please be cautioned)..be ..food is veg maharashtrian home cooked from farm fresh ingredients..very tasty. Non veg is provided on advance request and extra charge.
We stayed two nights. Really relaxing. Visit Bordi beach nearby. Enjoy.
