Access: The hotel was 3kms from central bus stand. We had requested for early check-in because our bus was suppose to reach early but were told by Hotel Staff that we have to pay extra Rs 500/- for availing that service. This was quite unethical I felt from hotel side. Anyways we reached quite near to time we were suppose to check-in,but our room was not still ready. We had to wait for 20 mins to get room. Front Desk: The receptionist was helpful gentlemen. Although made us wait made sure we were served free welcome drinks. It was quite unprofessional from hotel side to call us early morning 7am to vacant room by 9 am. Room: The room availed to us was quite claustrophobic. It did have basic amenities and was clean. We requested for room with different view but were not granted although it was available. I was not happy with this behaviour. While booking we had also came across pick-up & drop service but nothing like that was entertained. Dining: Food served was average.Restro did have options for alcoholic beverages and buffet lunch. Overall: The hotel is average guess its over-rated .The front desk staff does need to polish their customer skills. Expected better treatment.i would grade it 4/10.

me and my wife stayed in this hotel for 2 days as a part of our honeymoon trip during may-2012. Hotel is situated about 5 kms from the panchgani bus station. if you don't have a car, it's an issue as the place of hotel is very secluded. we had chosen the deluxe room and the room size was small. the view also was not very good. food on the other hand was average. however, the hotel made the special arrangement for the jain food which was very good. however, we realised later that the hotel serves Veg and non-veg both. this could be an issue to the strict jain or vegetarian just like me. the staff service was not that great. stay was pleasant. all in all, it's a good place for those looking for secluded stay amidst green nature and ambiance.

Access: The hotel is easily accessible and there are enough signboards directing you from the panchgani bus stand. Location: The hotel is in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle of panchgani. Greenery all around and nice view of the hills. It takes about 10 mins to reach the hotel from the panchgani market. The Front desk: They were friendly and were responsive. The Room: The rooms and the toilets are clean and tidy. Although the ambience and the overall feel of the rooms looks jaded and could do with renovation. The hotel is not very generous with regards to the goodies in the rooms like the tea/coffee sachets or the washroom kits- shampoos, soaps, toothbrushes etc. The deluxe room is a really small room with a window that opens into the approach corridor. Other guests might just peep into your room while on their way to their rooms. The washroom is a small one with good space utilisation. The Super-deluxe room is a spacious one with a balcony and a view of the neighbouring properties and hills. This one has a bath tub in washroom. The door to the super-deluxe room was so difficult to open that every time we had to open, i had to literally pull it with all my force. It was because of the monsoons that it might have swollen. My wife was never able to open it. Funny but, The room-service guys kicked open the door from outside to come in. Inspite of complaning of the same, no one ever looked into it. Both the rooms had a small fridge too and there were a couple of things already kept in it. (chargeable and not complimentary). The fridge is a good option if you want to carry something for yourself which needs to be chilled. Food & Room Service: The food was good and we loved the preparation. Specially the non-veg platter and their butter chicken. The room service was also quick. We had taken the AP plan and it included lunch, dinner and breakfast ! Though when we reached the restaurant for lunch, we were shocked to see about 40 people scurrying around the tables and children running around. It seems, there was a bus full of employees of some company who had come there for a conference along with their families. The staff did not seem well equipped to handle so much load and really soon the buffet vessels were empty and we had to wait for it to be refilled. There was no place for us to sit and had the lunch standing in a relatively quite corner. This experience was a teacher for us and upon knowing, that the same group would be there for dinner as well, we decided to skip the dinner (though included in the package) and instead headed to mahabaleshwar for dinner. The breakfast was standard fare with the usual round up of Cornflakes, Toasts, Butter, Jams, Tea and Coffee. On the first day, apart from the above, they served pohe and dosas with chutney and sambhar. On the second day, there was upma and idli with chutney and sambhar. The breakfast was ok and didnt seem like being prepared in the same kitchen that prepared the lunch or dinner. They could have easily offered fruit juices and fresh cut fruit in the breakfast spread. Parking: We had taken our car and parking the car was a breeze with the watchman helping in with his whistle Overall: Good for budget stay. Ambience is decent. Food is a winner.

The much needed weekend break was finally here. On Sep 1st we set out from Mumbai for our weekend repose. The 6 hour drive in an Innova was quite comfortable for 6 of us (plus the driver). I had already surfed the internet several times as soon as the plan was on to check out the pictures and facilities the resort had to offer. The place looked like a quiet and secluded place at the foot of the table land. Rooms also looked very appealing. The resort is built at the foot of the table land, a little further from the hustle of the main town and market. The resort looks like a residential complex with individual villas. It has a decent car park area. The reception is the first thing you will see the moment you get out of the vehicle. We checked into our rooms. We were given keys which were like debit cards. We had to insert the card into the door lock to open them. Rooms were very neat, clean and well lit. For a deluxe room, it really lived upto the expectations. There was a huge balcony which overlooked a part of a hilly landscape from where we had an unlimited supply of clouds right into the balcony. A pair of wrought iron chairs and table had been placed in the balcony for the blissful breakfast/ snack session in the stunning ambience. The only disappointment was the swimming pool. Though it was cold during this time of the year and we actually did not feel the need of a pool, in summers or other times, the pool will play a spoil sport to many. It is small with depth of maximum 4 feet. There is a skating area which is also very small. These facilities are apt for children below the age of 12. We had our hearts and mind full with the clouds surrounding us throughout our stay in the resort. Since we had opted for AP plan, which included food, the only food that we had was buffet. We reached almost at the end of the lunch time on the 1st day. Hence some of the food items were almost over. Had to wait for refill or had to order from the kitchen. The staff was very friendly and cooperative. The lunch buffet comprised of only Indian food items like roti, sabzi, daal, rice, papad, etc. Food was good if not very tasty. Dinner buffet had more variety and flavours with some Chinese cuisine mixed with Indian fast food item i.e. Pav Bhaaji. All of which were good. At breakfast we hogged yummy south Indian dishes like medu wada, upma, sambaar and chutney along with some conti items like cereals, toast, jam & butter. Overall, it is a perfect place for a calm, peaceful weekend at a reasonable cost.

So the hotel was a combination of both "good" and "not so good" things, however I would rate it at a higher side and give it a 8 on 10. To start with good thigs - the location where the hotel is situated is excellent. It is simply beautiful.Apart from the scenic beauty, the proximity to the Panchgani market was also a positive thing. Also, the quality of food, room cleanliness, service, etc was also nice. Personally, for me, the disappointment was that the smimming pool was around 5ft deep and good for kids and not adults. However, since I went in rainy season and it was too cold to get into the pool, I was eventually okay to know it was a kids pool. Overall, the experience was superb and I would recommend anyone to visit the property at least once. It is definately value for your money Regards Roshni
