Prospect is an amazing hotel right in the heart of the city of Panchgani. A perfect fit for any traveler. Excellent rooms, perfect ambiance, great food and great service. Once we were inside the hotel we were away from the hustle and bustle of the city and could feel the same soothing ambient with a great group of staffs who were always going the extra step to provide personalized service. I had stayed there with my parents and friends on two occasions and we loved every bit of our stay both times!

Possibly one of the most well rounded hotels I've ever stayed in. Delectable food fare, colonial style beautiful rooms, courteous staff and excellent hosts to boot, this place is the epitome of some TLC.
If you want to get away from the mad rush of the big Indian cities, here is a perfect get-away place. Up on the hills, this beautifully place is not only peaceful, spacious, surrounded by greenery and nature, but also run by a family who make you feel welcomed as if you are a family member. The rooms are all up to a 5 star hotel level, and the food really mouth watering! Expect to put on a few kilos unless you make use of the fact that you can walk around the area and explore the rustic village and its surrounding.
I stayed at the Prospect Hotel with two friends in November. We were greeted with warmth and immense hospitality. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom are clean and modern. And my personal favorite, the meals. A medley between Iranian and Indian, not an entree we didn't enjoy. The Prospect Hotel was exactly the serene, beautiful and relaxing environment we were aiming for. The hosts were so gracious and kind. Would love to venture back someday. Highly recommend, you won't be disappointed!
This is a very clean and nice little heritage hotel with a few rooms, spacious and fantastic gardens.
The hotel and rooms are well appointed, very old world like, with none of the musty, dingy feeling associated with these heritage places.
The staff have been around forever and their service is very warm and caring. We had absolutely nothing to complain about, with the linen, rooms and bathrooms maintained impeccably - decidedly tasteful and upmarket.
Run by the family who've been around there for its 100 year legacy, this is a quaint place that you can go to if you want to spend the day exploring the hills and the evenings in a quiet, well looked after style.
A pool and the poolside cottages give a very resort like feel but with none of the modern commercial and noisy stuff. There are rooms in the main house, behind it and our favorite, the sunset cottage.
The fare includes food and at 4250 per person (room and board), it's outstanding. From breakfast to dinner, they just feed you home style food to an excellent fixed menu, served with great variety, especially the non-vegetarian. It's predominant Parsi / Irani cuisine and absolutely super - worth staying just for the food!
A small placard inside the rooms, with information on the area, hotel, the meal timings and services, how to access the internet or use the safe etc. would be extremely helpful.
Better internet service is needed, but Panchgani seems to have poor connectivity. Reliance 4G seemed to work well though, with both Airtel and Vodafone a big flop. Except for this, you'd want for nothing.
A very fulfilling and happy experience, highly recommended for a quick getaway or a longish stay away from the madding crowds. Make sure you book in advance, they seem to always be in great demand.
