As I said in my first review no other choice in Panna As I said in my first review no other choice in Panna

by Ulrike R on June 26, 2018

I stay at this place frequently and sometimes even longterm (one week and longer) what I experienced though since the manager on duty has changed is a nightmare, to put it mildly, The staff is as friendly and welcoming and helpful as it used to be and the food is still good. Nothing to bother here. What has changed though is maintenance and the "style". The bathrooms, which are a weak point in this place anyhow, got even weaker, the door locks were hardly working I couldn't close my door for 2 days because the lock was broken and .... during these two days my iPhone got stolen. It took the manger more than a week to get anything going - and two weeks later still nothing has really happened. So I filed today a case at the police. The manager simply didn't care. Same with the fact that other guests kept knocking (drumming like crazy) at my door, ringing the bell at any time or simply when doors couldn't get locked walked in as if the room was theirs and then starring at me. I mean litterally starring! I told the manager his answer: it's a party! No action ! This happened almost every day! Not sure if I will ever come back - this was too much and the bad news really overshadow the friendliness of the staff and the food.

For me #1 in Panna For me #1 in Panna

If you leave aside the luxury Pashon Garh, this is the place to stay in Panna town. It's location is great, the place is secured, the staff is exceedingly friendly and helpful and the food is really good. You also get non-veg. The size of the rooms is OK, the bathrooms good be a bit better maintained. Overall no other cjoice in Panna!

Comfortable . . . Comfortable . . .

The hotel has the basic amenities - it was clean and functional. The best part of it was the service - your requirements were promptly attended to. What impressed me was the desire to please the customer, whether it meant getting an auto-rickshaw for them or room service etc. Spending an entire day out, it was comfortable to go back to crash at night for a good night's sleep.

Nicest Hotel in Panna Town Nicest Hotel in Panna Town

by Adam R on May 30, 2016

This is the original hotel in Panna Town and on the land of the royal family. It has WiFi and good food. The service is very good and the manager and chef speak better English than you'll find across much of the city. It is not very close to the centre of town, but Panna is not that big so you can easily walk fifteen minutes to a small market. Panna Town itself is not an essential visit for foreign tourists (no sights you won't find elsewhere), but is a good stop over place between Satna and Khajuraho, especially if traveling by bus. The national park is close to Panna Town with entry easiest through the Hinota gate, where you avoid the rush of the Madla entry. It is not the cheapest hotel in town by any means, but the only one (May 2016) with WiFi, a huge bonus. From the bus stand, all autos will know the hotel, but don't pay more than 30 rupees for a ride. Prices are all over 1000 rupees for both AC and non AC rooms.
