Stayed 3 night at Elgin and feeling lucky to choose Elgin as our stay. It was almost 7 hours of very hectic journey from NJP to Pelling as road condition is horrible but the moment we reached Elgin it just feel nice for eyes.
Position of the hotel is just awesome and if you are lucky, you can enjoy Kanchanjangha from your bed and if you are super lucky, just like us, in a full moon night you can see heaven from your room Mount Kanchanjangha in night.
Elgins hospitality is super, all stuffs are always in smile and ready for your service.
Food is good but bit expensive and that is fine respect to a star hotel and in a location like Pelling.
Spa is Ok not out class.
Location can't get better with a clear view of mt kanchanjenga
The facility is the best in pelling very picturesque
Very good food and extremely courteous staff.
Nice lobby to spend time outside rooms and they keep the entire thing warm to comfort the guests.
Stay in pelling can't get better than this
We stayed at the Elgin Mt. Pandim for 3 nights during the Christmas holidays. I will go out and say that this is the best Elgin property (out of Pelling, Kalimpong & Darj. ). If you are alloted a "Kanchenjunga view" rooms, you will be able to see the entire ngKanchenjunga (depending upon the weather). On Christmas eve, the property had arranged a bonfire and a Christmas special candlelight dinner with roasted chicken, complimentary wine and grilled fish. The breakfast spread was extensive - but the choices for continental was somewhat limited. Theres a huge lawn where one can sit and spend the hours by reading a book and enjoying a sip of tea.
- the Kanchenjunga view rooms dont receive the sun and hence a lesser airy.
- quality of food is very, very good. But prices are slightly on the higher side.
- This is located in Pemayangtse (around 2 kms from Pelling. So for getting the amenities like a tea shop or necessities like toothpastes or biscuits or an evening snack o ne will either need to walk or have a vehicle ready. But none of these deters me from providing a 5 star rating for this property.
A majestic property of the Elgin Group with an amazing view of the the Kanchendzonga range....
Had arrived rather late in the evening due to the treacherous condition of the road from Sevoke to Pelling....but the warmth of the reception and serving beyond one's expectation is what the Hotel excels in....All rooms have an excellent view of the range, right from one's bed....
a magnificently decorated landscape, lavish interiors has a touch of heritage at every corner of the property, the lounge, the dining hall , the pavilion....
located two kilometers before one arrives at proper Pelling, an ideal location for those who wish to stay away from the crowd ; the Pemyangtse Monastry in next door....
I have stayed at Elgin properties earlier, as well, and this property is no exception to the minute details that has gone into the interiors of the Hotel - from the period furniture look, the choice of fabrics on the furniture , the period look that adorns the Pavillion [ incidentally, a wonderfully decorated sit-out from where one enjoys Kanchendzonga at a hand shaking distance....] ....
the warmth of each staff, at the reception, room-service, security, dining room has been most gratifying.....the Manager, Mr. Surojit Mukherjee and his Deputy Mr. Debabrata Mukherjee, has been extremely accommodating, with a smile always on their lips....
The review would be incomplete if I don't mention Micky the Samoyed, who's been guarding the front entrance from his playful pen and kennel....- a treat to be with....
I wish the team all the best for their endeavor .....

After spending one night in Tashigang Tesort we came to Pelling and got our accomodation booked in the hotel Mt. Pandim which is run by the Elgin Group of hotels. This is an excellent hotel in the area just below the famous Pemiyanggtse Monastery. One can have a very close view of the Kanchendzonga range from this place. In the cold winter morning you need not have to come out of your room for taking snaps but you can have it while enjoying the comfort of your bed.In the hotel there is a tea lounge sitting where with a pot of tea or coffee one can also enjoy the picturesque view of the range. The main lounge and the dining area are proportionate with the area of the hotel. The food is undoubtedly good and tasty. The location is very good and it is much closer to the range. All the rooms are mountain facing. So one can enjoy the stay in this hotel. There is a well decorated garden on the backside of the hotel.
