We asked our tour provider for good clean budget accomodation on our 3 park safari. With Mowgli's this is exactly what we got. The room was Large and well appointed with tea and coffee facilities, a fan and aircon and a huge firm bed which i prefer(my wife especially liked the stars and moon in faint luminescant paint on the domed ceiling once the lights were all out), the bathroom was huge with its own hot water system so hot water was not an issue, a small balcony/verandah was a nice spot to read and drink Chai between game drives in the park. The staff could not have been friendlier and did wake up calls and breakfast baskets for our trips into the park. Although australian we love Indian food and whilst all the food on the trip was great the food at Mowglis was exceptional with great variety of different curries and sweets at every meal, always more than we could possibly eat. I think the guys there are trying really hard to make every visitor welcome and i would certainly hope they will continue on that line. We stayed during the current currency crisis and the manager did a great job in changing the larger bills that we obtained at the airport into smaller more useable currency. what was most astounding was that as we left with all the staff saying goodbye i gave the young gentleman managing a nice tip to share amongst the staff, he knowing what difficulty we were having getting money anywhere twice refused saying that we would need this money ourselves, only by insisting that they must take it for their great friendly service did he accept the money, thats a rarity in my book. This is not a resort with pool and bars and such but as stated good clean budget accom, our main interest was the wildlife and Mowglis was a pleasant stay with this in mind. The driver we also used for our game drives was also excellent and i can forward details if anyone likes.
