Stayed here with family. We had 8 months baby with us. It was great stay here. The staff is really cooperative always smiling. Thanks a lot Mr murugdas who helped us for site seeing options and mode of transport. Thanks to staff while having breakfast they served us at the table everything as we had baby. They changed our room to more quite location because road facing rooms had lot of noise. Food options are good and tasty. Worth for money. Location is great as all tourist spots are within reach. Thanks to Mr Anthony at desk who couriered my baby sweater which we forgot at hotel and responded for my each call positively.
Centrally located. Neat & clean rooms with all modern amenities. we were allowed for an early check in too as we had reached at 8 in the morning. Breakfast buffet is good with an elaborate menu. Staff is very helpful and always ready with a smile to serve you.
We stayed in the hotel for two day...the rooms was spacious smelling good, the pool was small yet good.
We felt for some reason we were getting special attention from the chef....the food was delicious and the restaurant in the roof top was a good option for veggies
overall a best option for couples that too in the weekends..
The staff here are not professional. We had no towels or bath mat in our room. The food service is atrocious. We were in the Buffett area having dinner and orders such as coffee or beer took so long to arrive. Had to keep asking the staff for it. The table across us had the same problem and they complained. Instead of the staff taking this as a lesson learned and serving customers better they started yelling and blaming each other in front of customers. As a customer this was not good to see. The management here needs to change and have a better organized staff.
This hotel is billed as five star, but is nowhere near.
Our room was damp and smelled a bit as a result, and this stemmed from a poorly maintained bathroom. The shower heads were covered in limescale, for which there is no excuse, all it takes is a bit of vinegar, and the shower panel seals were brown with a mix of mould, soap residue and cleaning product residue. This was a pity, as the bathroom itself was well designed and much better than most hotel bathrooms.
The room itself was billed as a double, and had a king-sized bed, but was otherwise a single: all the light switches, including the one for the bedside light on the opposite side, were on one side of the bed, and there was just one of everything, including just the one chair.
We stayed two nights and had to wait until 4pm for our room to be made up on the middle day, infuriating when you want to take a siesta but can't relax because housekeeping might come at any moment. When we asked for ice (we foolishly asked for an ice bucket) after an hour we got our ice, plus a very large domestic bucket.
We were alone at lunch the first day and I counted ten staff at one point. At breakfast the norm seemed to be seven or eight staff. Reception more than once boasted six or seven staff at one time. And yet there weren't enough people in housekeeping to clean our room in good time and only ever one person dealing with all the luggage alone. It seems in this place everyone wants an executive role but there is no one to do the physical work.
One particularly annoying feature was the refusal to provide a second key, very frustrating when we might wish to do separate things occasionally, like go to the gym - the person left in the room had to keep the only key, or there would be no electricity, yet couldn't risk taking a shower or a nap in case they had to answer the door.
I could go on, but enough said. I believe this may be the best option in Pondicherry, but I would not recommend more than a one night stay.
