My stay at Anandha Inn, Pondicherry (Room No.512 on 14.01.14 & 15.01.14), was very comfortable. The ambiance, food, pool and gym are good and well maintained. The staffs also were courteous. I definitely recommend this place for stay. The only aspect which the management can look into are inadequate housekeeping staff (probably because I went during Pongal holidays) and high tariff, as compared to nearby same category hotels in Pondicherry

It was a good experience, We enjoyed our stay. The hotel is located close to the beach and Sri Aurobindo Ghosh ashram. The food and ambiance was one of the best we enjoyed. The service was quick too. The place was neat and clean always and they had a decent swimming pool. The WiFi was very slow and could not connect to it at times. Probably could improve the internet facilities. On the whole worth the price, definitely would recommend staying at this place.

it was absolutely a wonderful delight to have driven 7 hrs to reach pondicherry , Hotel Anandha Inn is in the heart of the city , used my Google to search and reached on my own by following the route map, it was pleasant surprise that the whole hotel was Centrally airconditioned and was welcome by a receiption and check in took no more than 3 mints and was in the alloted room in a jiffy. Hotel look was magnificient and rooms were very tidy and neat with lotz of small liquor bottles and the room fridge had beer bottles and chocolate, If you use it , pay it which was absolutely no issues since i don't drink. At the front Desk, we were given coupon to use WIFI and also informed that Swimming pool use is complimentery The Next Day morning Breakfast was very good , spread was decent enough to give a 3 star rating We had stayed from Thursday Evening to Sunday Morning thatz about 3 night and 4 days Early Morning surprise was the National Newspaper, that was a WOW Factor Parking : Huge space for parking, parking attender were polite and spoke very decently, everytime they offered valet parking service when we returned back from sight seeing, Thatz cooool. Room Service: Was brillant , asked for Tea, Which came in 5 Mints, Asked for Housekeeping to Iron the clothes on urgent basis , even that also happened, You cannot ask for more Swimming Pool: was a neat clean and enjoyed the swim without any hassles Overall: Will recommend to all my friend for their Clean, Nice good breakfast which was complimentary and Perfect Location.

- A/C was horrible - In spite of asking, the front desk staff did not provide information on how much it would cost to take an auto from the bus stand to the hotel - we were given a smoking room in spite of asking for a non smoking room

Our check-in at the Ananda Inn was a bad experience with this particular receptionist demanding more and more bits of paperwork. Finally having checked in, we went to the room and then asked for a shower stool to sit on in the bathroom. The hotel sent a 6-inch high foot stool. It was only after threatening that we would use the armchair in the room for purpose, that we were finally brought a kitchen type chair. The breakfast seemed totally geared to serving a party of women, even to the extent of us having to wait 25 minutes for a cup of coffee. I couldnt recommend the Anandha Inn.

Very nice hotel,vast parking lot.very good ambience.room service,staff's behaviour,receiving assistance, customer relations etc.everything was excellent.food was very delicious.so next time definitely we prefer to stay here.

This is a rundown hotel with very poor maintenance. Very old bedsheets (not sure they were even washed properly) and some light bulbs were not working. No bath room mat, no shower curtain and the flush was not working properly. Kettle in the room was not working. The maintenance staff does not seem to pay any attention even while we complained about it. Room smart card key was not working properly. Lift was not working properly (not opening in the ground floor). When we complained the staff knew this, and never bothered about it. Our stay turned out to be terrible.

An alluring property in the middle of the city. Rooms are good but needs some refurbishment especially in the bathrooms. Breakfast well led out with lot of variety. Staffs are friendly and attentive. Mostly all the places of interest are at a stone throw distance. Only hitch here is the water. The water from the tap and shower is salty which they need to look into as a serious concern.

When one glances at the photographs on trip advisor or agoda, one is astonished to see a beautiful lobby and grand rooms, a beautiful exterior too. When one arrives, one wonders if one is the right place. the outdoors have lost the color. The lobby is a joke compared to its grand picture. The rooms are alright, but not the luxurious ones you see on the photographs. Kudos to the photographer who managed to get these unique pictures that dont resemble the hotel. However, on the positive side, the staff are friendly and nice. No complains. The breakfast had a good spread as I checked it out, but chose to walk to the promenade which is just 10 minutes away for breakfast by the sea. I would rate this within a 3 star category hotel. the rack rate is astronomical, though one gets deals which are reasonable.
