Was looking for an economical room in Pondy for my guest from Chennai who was scheduled to reach the city at 11pm on the 6th of Dec 2013. So went online at around 4pm on the same day and found this hotel with AC rooms at unbelievably low tariff on Make My Trip. After checking the pics shown on the website, just decided to book it. My guest Mr.Ramesh Kumar arrived at around 11.15pm and was told that there was no booking in his name and he would have to pay and take a fresh booking. So he called me to reconfirm. When I intervened and told the receptionist about the booking done on MakeMyTrip.Com and provided with the booking ID, he insisted that the guest needs to carry a printed booking voucher without which it is invalid. When I gave him a piece of my mind, he agreed to check in the guest. The guest managed to check in at around 12 midnight and to his disgust found that the room was stinking of alcohol and cigarette smoke. The room was full of flies and dirty dishes lying strewn around. It was not even cleaned. The bed sheet was just like a rag and the toilet uncleaned too. My guest did not feel like calling me again and angrily checked out to take a room at Abhirami residency nearby. He was in fact very upset with me for booking at this dirty ghetto.
