First I will transferred to MASS as no room is vacant in ginger. Like other hotels it has some good points and also some bad points. 1. It thinks every visitor is like a foreigner, and has lots of money in their pocket. So they charge around 3 times from the base value + service and vat in all accessories including food. 2. Good thing as they give good service in complementary breakfast. 3. Some of the reception guys behave normally some are rude and even if they know you have some doubts. But from the travel guru point of view there must be some calls whether the guest is placed properly or not. No call i get it from travel guru regarding the problems and all. Overall its a bad experience with travelguru at the end.

It was fine but lags basic stuffs like night lamp, space for keeping your toothbrush and soap. Very little space for wardrobe.

The ambience was good... however the room is small. The food options available are very less...not much choices available. Took a long time for check in.

Ginger was upto the mark given its price. Rooms were clean, well kept. Staff was courteous. Hotel was very near to the centre of the city. Dinner option especially for vegeterians were bad. For 250 a buffet, you had a dal and a sabzi. I can't comment about non-vegetarians. Breakfast was quite good though. Overall a satisfying experience.

Rooms were clean, we'll furnished, food was good but I would like to make correction in toilet items to provide good quality toilet items. One more thing if you have vacancy in room never let the customer weight for getting the rooms. Overall it was good stay.. keep doing the good work

Stayed in this hotel as it was economical and branded hotel chain assuming that this hotel in par with other ginger hotel . The hotel is not cleanly maintained and all the rooms looks like cheap lodge . Pleas avoid this hotel .

We decided to stay at Ginger Pondicherry when we went for Auroville marathon in Feb 2017. The check in process was hassle free and they let an extra person with bed in with a nominal fee. The hotel is clean and functional. The elevator, corridors, rooms and restrooms are clean. The restaurant serves decent food and the bar has decent beer. The entire place has little unhurried feel which is hallmark of Pondicherry. The staff is pleasant and un-intrusive. I recommend Ginger for a short stay in Pondi.

Visited Pondy and stayed at the Ginger Hotel for a day. The hotel operates on a self-service kinda model which is ok. But charging 4k odd and having basic amenities is not upto the mark. For starters the staff is very courteous and friendly, which is very nice. The place is neat, though the entrance of the hotel was damaged. The room persay was ok. Bed was comfortable though small in size. The TV was small too. An average hotel charging comparatively lesser, provides a bigger TV !! Having a CCD within the hotel was good. The buffet was decent. Overall a decent place for a quick stay and exit.

idle only for business stay not for any relaxing vacation kind as it's located in a noisy and congested. Rooms & cot are very small untidy and dumped other furniture . Washroom doesn't have any ventilation or fan so always have dump smell. They provide only 2 small water bottles if u need more then u have to refill in pantry. Rooms are very close so always can hear the next room sounds and pantry phones ringing all the time.
