So I booked Hotel Coramandal around 4 PM on 9th Dec before boarding the bus to Pondicherry (from Chennai). When I was about to reach Pondicherry at around 8ish PM, I recvd a call from the Hotel Front Desk that the BASIC ROOM i booked is no longer available and for the upgraded room, I will have to shell out another 600 Rupees (65% extra than what I had already paid). Now my problem was that I was about to reach Pondicherry in another hour. So I called up TravelGuru w/ broken phone signals twice and shared w/ them about this incident. They sorted it out w/ the Hotel and I got the upgraded room w/o any extra tab. So I truly appreciate Travel Guru's involvement here along w/ the Hotel's co-operation that they made sure their customer needn't to pay extra than what he had already paid. TravelGuru will stay as my first choice of portal to book hotels in future from now onwards. Cheers.
