We(me and my wife) booked a room for 2 days at Hotel Palanisamy through cleartrip.com. When we reached hotel,we were asked to wait at lobby as the room was not cleaned. We had to wait for almost half-an-hour at lobby to get the room. The room was of terrible condition. It looked like 1950's room. COCKROACHES could be found running inside the room. Window facing the duct had no glass and it was open. MOSQUITOES were coming inside the room through that window. TOILET was of PATHETIC condition. When we asked for another room, they were reluctant. Eventhough free breakfast was mentioned in the package, they DID NOT PROVIDE FREE BREAKFAST and CHARGED separately for it. There was not even a phone in the room to contact reception. Even the TV was of terrible condition with pathetic picture quality and limited choice of channels. I advice all the tripadvisor users NEVER TO GO TO THIS TERRIBLE HOTEL!!!!!
Never go to Paris Residency at any circumstances. We never got such a bitter experience from anywhere. We have been booked for a one day trip through clear trip and paid before two week also. As per that we reached there at 12.30pm and given the booked receipt ,they told us to sit on the lobby for some time, after some time one person came and told us that you have to wait upto 3.00pm. We were wondered and told them that we have already been paid from today 12.00 pm to tomorrow 12.00 pm, How can you tell like this? He replied that we waited for you upto 12.00 pm , you didnot came that is why another party has taken the room.We tried to contact with Cleartrip people but they did not attend the call. We said that we came here at 12.30pm , only half an hour late, somehow we need room, as we were too tired due to continuous journey, we are not ready to wait upto 3.00 pm angrily. He told us M.D's room is here and i will do some temporary arrangement at there, you take rest upto 3.00 pm at there and after 3.00pm one party will check out,we will shift you to there.
There was no other way for us .that is why we agreed with that, while one call came to the reception , After one person told us that we have arranged one room in another hotel , that also our property you can stay there .We agreed with that and went there by walk. When we reached there ANURAGA RESIDENCY) told us that you were sitting in the lobby that is why we called you to here, you can take rest upto 3.00 pm at here and should go back to Paris Residency. We argued with them and told that we are not ready to change the hotel , we came here only for a one day trip ,not for hotel changing. In the mean time we noticed that there is no room boy to clean the room. The person came from Paris Residency with us and his friend were cleaning the room themselves. At last we entered into the room at 2.00;pm
We found that the bathroom was too dirty but there was no other option for us and we stayed there. By the evening one person from Paris Residency came and informed us that you dont need to change the room and tomorrow morning complimentary breakfast will send from Paris Residency at 8.00pm. Next day morning we waited upto 9.00 pm , nothing came we went to site seeing and came back at 12.00pm. Our plan was to take rest up to 1.00 pm and go back, but there was no power in day time . So we returned from there at 12.15pm. They specified at the booking time "free wi-fi" , but there was no wi-fi, NO ROOM SERVICE , nothing. We never got such a bitter experience from cleartrip.
There is big communication gap between clear trip and hotel.
What they have committed like complement breakfast and water was not provided. No proper water fecilities inside room. I booked for a deluxe room but the room not even look like standard room. Worst fecilities, Horst receptionist. Totally waste of money.
Our trip of Pondicherry was planned at last moment and I was not getting any other options. Booked double bed room trough Yatra but when we checked in we found the room was small and there was not a singe window! I was feeling claustrophobic and upgraded the room to executive double bed.
The property is not neat and clean and overall the stay was not enjoyable. The restaurant is like a ordinary local eatery and serves only vegetarian food.
If you are looking for a place where you can just stay and relax and enjoy good food this is not your place. During this trip we used to explore Pondicherry all day and come to room only for bath and sleep.
Next time if I donot get any other accommodation in Pondicherry will cancel the trip , but never returning to this hotel.
I stayed with my friends in this hotel one day and I was completely shocked to see such a poor service from the people over there. We were four guys and asked for two rooms initially to stay. As it was a rush weekend, they said only one room available and asked if it is ok for us. We said ok for that. The manager told me that he will give extra bed as compliment. After waiting for more than two hours, they arranged for the room and by the time of billing, he said that I need to pay for two extra beds. I told him that he promised for extra beds as complimentary. He initially said that he did not say that to me and finally said that he might have told me that instead of saying that to someone else. Finally he said that he can arrange one complementary bed and I need to pay for the other one (totally two)! Some how we accepted for that. Since then, we called reception 4 to 5 times from the evening to night 11:30 and the response we received from the reception guy was - he did not get any information regarding the extra bed to my room. We informed that we have paid for one bed and the other one is complementary. He said that extra bed is not available and so asked to adjust. How will I do it when I have actually paid for the extra bed. How can you tell your customer that "You pay me but I will give you nothing"???. He then put me across to the manager (who actually dealt with us) over the phone. He was completely rude and said that he did not even promise for the extra bed and so he will not give it. He even forgot the fact that he charged us for one bed, and now says that he will not give one extra bed. How can he be a manager when he is not able to keep up his word, and lying to the customers. He said with harsh tone that we can check out from the room if we want... that too saying this at mid-night.. Is this fair to behave with your customers like this? He also asked us to request him for helping us... and then only he will do it... Why should i pay my money for you, and beg you for availing the services that I actually paid for. He is simply saying that we are drunk and creating a problem. Did he see me drinking? How can you throw such a word on your customers? I am frankly saying one thing. there are so many hotels that we have stayed and have recommended to our friends/relatives many times. but this time, I will give only negative feedback to your hotel (where ever I am asked feedback for). I will not recommend you to anyone... not because of the facilities... but because of the worst customer service that you have given. you are having such rude persons as your employees. please take care of this, understand your customers, and keep up your words. Do not give false commitments please!
