We had a mixed experience while our stay at Hotel Vijayentra, 108, Kamaraj Salai, Pondicherry, India. We were shocked by the fact that the hotel was having no food service, though resturant exist in the campus. The good thing about the hotel is the location, connectivity to the rail station, bus station and beach, and a ATM machine within the campus. But! there are plenty to worry as the maintenance of the room are pathetic. Cockroche of all sizes, no water kettle and drinking water, dampen room walls, torn bedsheets, broken cupboard handles and arogant receptionist..... It's better to call and make sure what is advertised is correct.

I stayed for 3 nights and two days. The property is very good and spacious. Room was of big size, well ventilated with lots of natural lighting. AC was good enough but fan's knob was broken. Service was good in the sense that staff was cooperative and what ever was asked for was provided quickly. The property can easily be converted into a good three star hotel, but it is very very poorly maintained. There is no such thing as house keeping for maintenance of property. It runs like cheap lodge. The bed linen and towels were old and look anything but white. Bathroom was dirty and was cleaned only on next day on request. Worst thing there was no breakfast or room service in hotel except for tea. For every thing you have to go out for eating in any nearby restaurant.It is not worth the money we spent.
