Overall excellent. Our top choice for next year vacation. Right from check-in to check-out, every interaction with the staff is very professional with levels I have seen only in foreign countries. Unlike other places where I have stayed, this place doesn't nickel and dime you. Our best vacation yet. As a vegetarian, the menu gets boring fast, but the preparation is top class excellent that you don't mind the boring menu. The whole property is spotlessly clean with flowering plants and green grass all around. Pool is the center piece and it shows in it maintenance.
We had a wonderful stay at le pondy. Service is excellent. The only thing i felt average was the food. The buffet lunch and dinner was of average taste for the price charged. Overall i woud rate le pondy as very good. They have a private beach which is very neat. Garden, pool, dining area and rooms are very well maintained.
Le Pondy was a wonderful experience. very happy with room quality and we all enjoyed the stay there. I would suggest hotel to put up more photographs of their website which will give the actual feel of the hotel which is currently not visible. The staff was hospitable and actully we did not feel like going out as the hotel was very nice. very nice swimming pool.
Le Pondy is located farther from Pondicherry but does provide a scenic beauty of Ocean and Lake. The Private beach, as promised by hotel, is being maintained and provides a serene atmosphere. Hotel premises is clean and neatly maintained. The Service staff live up to the expectation. Though the choice of food are limited, the staff is good and Chef gives personal attention and tries to reach out to every hotel guests. As far as areas of improvement are concerned, the hotel should have good balance of TV channels that they provide. Currently it is more dominated by regional channels.
It is a great place for a weekend ,the staff is one of the most friendliest I have come across. I guess I have had a great stay and my daughter really enjoyed the stay more than anybody else.

We were a family of 8 who stayed in 4 of the lake view rooms for 2 days. While the rooms at ground level were beautifully maintained, the ones on the first floor seemed just a bit shabby and uncared for. The swimming pool is the best part of the resort. It's a huge pool and is very beautiful. One small gripe was that it was just off the restaurant so felt a bit weird swimming there while people were having breakfast. The beach is clean and well maintained. Though we had a relaxing stay, the experience was marred by a party that was going on, on the second night of our stay. It was happening near the pool but was very very loud (so loud we couldn't hear continue our conversation and gave us all a headache) . Please consider having parties a bit away from the main restaurant area or at least turning the music down as it really spoils the experience for people trying to have a relaxing holiday.
We went to Le Pondy for one of our evening dinner because we wanted to visit Paradise beach from here. So we reached here at 4.45-5 pm & had a fab time till 6 pm at the beach. The beach is super clean & lovely. Post beach, we used the hotel showers for our changeovers & then visited their restaurant for an early dinner. The restaurant has a lovely setting & friendly staff. Food was also delicious. We also used the hotel car/cab to drop us back to our Pondy apartment. The hotel (is a resort actually) is huge, well-kept & has some lovely cottages / villas. Its a bit far from Pondy but worth an evening visit if you have some time.
A resort with great location. It has a very large landed area with nice manicured lawns lined with coconut trees right on the Paradise beach. There is a lot which can be done to have an eye pleasing garden.Staff is very courteous and extend all the help needed. Rooms and bathrooms are extra ordinarily large and spacious. The sea facing rooms have very good view. Overall pricing appears to be on higher side.
Around 30 of us had a class reunion here.Stayed two nights.Difficult to find, though Google maps and GPS helped.Reasonable rooms, though the sea facing were better.Lake facing rooms faced other rooms, only the first row faced the inlet of the river leading to the sea.Transport within the resort was by golf carts. But saw only one! The reception people were pleasant but short staffed, so there were delays. No one minded too much though. The waiting area in the main building, the meeting rooms upstairs and the walkway to the dining area were charming and well planned..The rooms were decent, though some air conditioning problems in a few rooms, including ours.Nice sit out outside the ground floor rooms, the 1st floor rooms lacked ambience.Internet access was not great though there was an entiicing and tasteful shop for clothes, Jewelry and trinkets. The pool was pleasant and enjoyable, many of us spent hours in it.Excellent food, all varieties including a salad bar, north and South Indian food, good continental fare, live counters for eggs and dosais, and a good dessert spread.Had good meeting rooms, we used a small one for a class assembly.Nice p,ace for a walk.Lovely beach, but accessible only after 6 am, access from hotel closed at 6 pm.Were told there were security concerns. So no early morning walks or late night strolls.Rates a little steep, when compared to similar resorts in the vicinity.Would go there again though.
We went as a group of 7 families and we chose the lake view villas. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable with a sit-out area in the entrance where you can relax with a couple of shots anytime (day/night). Service by Le Pondy team is really awesome and they had been quick in terms of food or any housekeeping requirements. The location of the property might look slightly interior but you will forget the short bit of travel by its peaceful and serene environment. This property comes with a good pool area, the pool is a flat 5ft pool so not deep enough for divers. The pool comes with a kids pool as well with a few Jacuzzi points where you can lay back and relax. Do not forget to bring your own nylon swim suits (for both men and women), else you will be forced to buy one from the pool counter which sells men swim shorts at Rs.300/- (reasonable) and women swim wear at Rs.1000/- (unreasonable) you get the same women swim wear ranging from Rs.400 to Rs.700/- from online or any retail store from your city. They do not allow cotton or any other fabric shorts or clothes. I again remind you swimming pool is one major entertainment at this place hence do not forget to take your swim wears. The kids play area is a small one, could have been better. Our kids enjoyed playing the slides and rope walks. Being a group, we went for beach volley ball which was fun. You also get the private access to the beach. The beach was extremely clean and well maintained. You can have a few dips in the salty beach, one life saver always accompanies you standing in the shore while we are inside the beach. However it is advised not to go deep though it might appear like chest level water, the east coast sea belt is always rough. Strongly recommend for a weekend getaway or maybe a short vacation for friends, families or corporate get-together or be it anything! Cheers
