New White Residency

One of the hotels that I prefer mostly when I visit pondicherry. Its situated near to Nehru Street, the important shopping destination in puducherry. A restaurant is attached to the hotel. The hyderabad biriyani over ther is one of a favourites. A budget hotel.

The place is small. but the ambiance is good and also the food. They have a special variety of Biryani, called "Bamboo Biryani". The biryani is cooked inside a bamboo shoot and served piping hot, it is tasty and not at all spicy. They also have a variety of fresh juices, milk shakes & ice creams. But their falooda is rubbish. The staff are also courteous and attend to you.

The place is average and good for quick and cheap meals.. Place serves kerala styke porrotta and few kerala Style curries.. Rest north Indian and South Indian dishes.. Slightly crowded at times.. Both ac and non ac seating areas available..

This hotel was terrible. It was very dirty and unhygienic. The hotel staff was persuasive but not helpful. If you're a vegetarian, please do not go for this hotel. Go for hotel Jayaram or Ram international or Hotel Sai Ram. This hotel did not show any pictures on MakeMyTrip so we fell in trap and booked it. But I don't recommend Hotel White Residency. We couldn't sleep properly because of the smell of the bedsheet. Horrible experience so far.

Had been for dinner and lunch the next day. Good food and the staff is great. Food is good as far as taste is concerned. They have both ac and non ac sitting. The crab curry is simply amazing and the portion is pretty big as well. A must try if u visit this place for lunch. U might not get it fr dinner as it's finished by that time.
