We heard of this place from our dining experience at La Villa the previous night which was outstanding. We narrowly missed the lunch meal period by few minutes and was offered the snacks menu. But soon to realise the staff was extremely accommodative in offering the lunch menu to us. We loved the drinks, service and ambience extremely hospitable and warm. Nice place for a quite relaxed lunch and some afternoon drinks, which I am sure will be great for an evening quite dinner too. The desserts were amazing too loved the eclair, ice cream and creme caramel. Will surely recommend this place too along with La Vila as these seemed to be the best places in Pondicherry. The management team, staff need a huge kudos for maintaining top notch standards and taste of elegance and world class standards.

We both slept and ate at Villa Shanti. We were booked into one of the suites, which was huge. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was roomy and ulta-modern. Being a suite, we had a separate living room area with a flat screen TV. My only complaint was that the seating for watching TV had almost no padding and was not comfortable. But we didn't come to India to watch TV. The restaurant is very popular in the evening, and it is advisable to make reservations. The cooking is modern fusion along with some traditional Indian dishes. People seem to come to Pondy to eat steaks! It was another good hotel choice selected for us by Indian Panorama.

Located in the White Town, enter this place and the entire vibe of Pondicherry comes alive. The aesthetics of this place are thoughtful, intricate. Food is fresh and sumptuous. A satiating meal while soaking in the sun in their central dining area is what you should go there for - and come out impressed!

What a lovely hotel with real style and high standards backed up by enthusiastic staff without being precious. All areas of the hotel deserve recommendation. We have been in India for 5 weeks and this is first hotel we have noted them doing daily maintenance cleaning of the public areas, such a positive thing in a country where such work never appears to be done thus good places soon look tired.

Very ice hotel in the French/White town of Pondicherry. Staff at the Reception was extremely helpful, however the restaurant staff needs to buck up as food served is late and cold! The overall experience was good as its walking distance from the Rock beach and other spots of the city. Can get a five star the next time if the service is better!
