It barely qualifies as a hotel - there's no wifi as they've claimed, one of the rooms had mushrooms growing out of the floorboards and the complimentary breakfast is meagre (they don't let you know the full range of food that you can order).
The only upside of the place was courteous staff. The downsides are as below:
1. The place is still expensive for what it offers
2. AC in our room was not working
3. The toilets weren't clean
4. There was a weird smell in the room
5. The bedsheet wasn't clean
Hope this helps.
Had stayed for 3 nights in october 2017. Good clean and neat budget hotel. So dont expect much. Food was good. Good location with shops and stores nearby. On our early morning sight seeing trips, we were given packed breakfasts. Overall a comfortable stay.
Stayed for 3 days from 27th to 30th Jan 2018 with family.
Room was good and specious. Bathroom and toilet were clean.
Staff was also polite and helping attitude.
Complimentary breakfast was nice.
Manager Shri. Malay kumar Dey managed our stay very nicely.
He arranged our entire tour for Port Blair tourist places, Havelock & Neil Island.
Very good person for Andaman tour. His contact No is 9531889695....
Over all nice experience Enjoyed tour...
Recommended for family stay.
It was a bird-watching trip in the Andamans and we were booked into this hotel by our guide.
Location: Right on a busy street, very close to the airport and Aberdeen bazaar which is the shopping, entertainment and nightlife area. Sagarika Emporium has opened a new outlet just 2 mins from this hotel where one can shop for genuine souvenirs at reasonable prices.
Check-in Process: Very fast. We were done in about 10 mins flat.
Rooms: All rooms are standard design, functional. All face the side lanes and do not offer any special views. The staff have cleverly placed curtains on the single window which can get claustrophobic for some. Television was in working order and so was the air conditioning. Bathrooms have a dedicated geyser which is a good thing and surprising for a hotel of this class but otherwise have standard fittings. The one in Room 105 had a leaky ceiling from the bathroom in the room on the floor above.
Food: This hotel has an attached restaurant (Mehmaan Restaurant) which serves no-fuss standard fare and cooked well. Do not expect anything fancy. If you want to try out any fish delicacies you are better off dining at other restaurants in town.
Service: This is where they excel. Since we usually started in the early hours we often needed packed breakfast which was promptly kept at the reception and we could pick it up without waking up anyone. Room-service (on the couple of occasions that we used it) was prompt. They also offered packed breakfast on the day of our departure for having at the airport considering Port Blair airport has pathetic options for snacks / meals inside the terminal. I recommend everyone to take up this offer (even at the extra cost) if you have flights coinciding with meal timings.
Overall it was a pleasant stay and I would look forward to staying with them again for future trips too.
