I booked on line several months in advance and was asked for a deposit. I explained that it would cost me more than the hotel room to send the money from the UK and they said that was no problem. I called in on my way to Havelock and my booking was held in good faith. The hotel is quite basic but clean and comfortable and 5 minutes from the airport which is great as we had an early flight. The staff were friendly and helpful and it was a pleasant walk into town where we had dinner.

This is the best place to stay in Port Blair. The room is spacious like home (i.e. they call it homestay). There is limited room with limited staffs though you wont disappoint with their service, but especially their head cook cum manager Mr.Soumen is a kind of person whom you looking for in your every holiday stay. Very good food may increase your weight a little bit. So, without any hesitation go and get your booking done asap.

I made a reservation for two double rooms in October, through Agoda (one month in advance). However, after I reached Port Blair, the hotel informed me, that their bathrooms are malfunctioning and they cannot accommodate me. This being peak season, I could not find comparable rooms within my budget and had to accept the alternate hotel they offered, which ofcourse, did not have the comparable location or amenities. Apparently, this is a con run by many hotels in Andaman (as stated by my cab driver there) and one needs to be careful while booking hotels in advance through travel sites!

Wanderful stay at Andaman Galley. I am very much happly with the hospitality, homelyness, service cleanlyness, food, room condition and the staffs. This is one of my best stay. I have stayed here for 5 nights and never thought that I am staying in a hotel..... but I felt that this is my 2nd home. I am strongly recommended this hotel ( I think home, not hotel).

Stayed here for 1 night on a stopover between Havelock ferry. For British standard it was clean enough and the air-conditioning was good. Wifi worked well in the reception area. Breakfast was Indian style and tasty. Didn't understand the bedding situation, there was a fleece blanket, and a base sheet, but no top sheet! The blanket smelled clean though so we asked for another sheet but got another blanket (?) and we made use of that! Reception man was very friendly and made our stay enjoyable.
