The hotel is in a central location, just 5 minutes fro m the airport. Being a pure veg hotel, it is a good option for veggies. Food quality is very good. But when you enter a room, it gives a foul smell probably due to the dampness which needs urgent attention. On the whole, a satisfactory stay with more pluses than minuses, I should say.

I had requested for a pickup from the airport which did not happen and had to wait for long time without response. After checking in to the hotel the manager (Mr. Raju) behaved like a rowdy (goonda) and not like a professional manager. Due to which I had to check out of the room within 30 minutes from the check in to the hotel. Even after check out they did not leave me up alone. They followed it up and tried to stop my auto rickshaw and forcibly made me to sign the voucher. During this tragedy even though I contacted your office executive and sought help, there was no response till date. No one has supported me during this jurglaries.

Not worth: should disown this property Not worth: should disown this property

Dear Sir, Please refer to my above booking reference. Having full faith with your site and previous experiences, i presented my self with my guest at the above property at Port blair. I made the incoming entry in the hotel register vide serial nos. 2633 and 2634. I was alloted room no. 102 & 103. On reaching the rooms, i got a shock of my life to see the standard of the room. It was a single bed room of less than 20 sq mtrs akin to a matchbox with a single bed between two walls. This was not what i had paid for. Efforts to contact Ms Sushma (your representative at portblair) through the hotel staff were in vain wherein she did not want to talk to us and gave an email id to write to. The hotel staff was unwilling to relent the fact that i had booked two deluxe rooms. In a fit of rage and much embarrassment to my guest had to cancel my booking in the hotel register and fend for myself inspite of so much advance planning. Would be grateful if you could please investigate and look into this matter and do the needful to reimburse the money charged to my card account. For any additional details, you can contact me. regards ravikumar 9866616997

value for the money value for the money

Neither too expensive but not that cheap too. Its either relatively a new hotel or a recently renovated one because the hotel rooms were clean n looked quite new.its a vegetarian hotel. Breakfast was simple and nice(no eggs.. remember its vegetarian hotel). The staffs are nice n helpful except the lady at the reception (I think she is the supervisor), had quite an attitude (very curt even to the guest). Felt weird as a guest watching the rest of the staff getting dominated. No WiFi.. TV and AC available. Bad network in the city. WiFI is not easily available everywhere. Everything is expensive in Andamans because everything comes from the mainland. One can book the ferry tickets online too except the government ferry as it can be booked only in person or through an agent or with the help of the locals. Best place for scuba course is 'Dive India' in Havelock hands down. Locals are sweet but ofcourse everyone tries to make money out of you :) tourism is the main source of income so that's normal I guess :)

Okay hotel to stay in Okay hotel to stay in

i went to port blair for business and stayed at Blue sea hotel for 6 days during May month. Everything is quite expensive in port blair starting from staying to food or even travel. Room rents for average room are higher than mainland and the quality of services provided is about average. This holds true for this hotel as well. Food is extremely expensive in the hotel restaurant and we (me and colleagues) went to other place to have meals. even the non veg food (sea food) is also expensive. if you are travelling to port blair for sightseeing and want to keep expenses low, follow these: book hotels in advance, especially for peak season (oct/nov-mar/apr). Local travel if booked in advance will be a bit cheaper than if you choose to do it on spot. Brokers extort a hefty sum. Also try to carry everything you need from mainland. Autos are avl and make your city travel very cheap. Ask around the local people (they are helpful for this).
