We stayed for a day in this hotel. Rooms are OK. There is no lift. Bathroom fittings need urgent attention. In our room flush handle was broken, Hot water was not coming.
Food is available on order. Quality of the food and service need to be improved. On the day we stayed there, waiters were not able to communicate in Hindi or English,
Despite all this we enjoyed the stay there for the excellent balcony views of the port and coconut plantation. I liked the night lamps also.

When a friend booked this hotel I was not comfortable as many of the reviews and photos showing it as old hotel. But hotel is renovated. The rooms are spacious. Fitted with basic amenities. Well ventilated. Staff are helpful. I have not tried their restaurant.
Price not consistent with service and facility.

re shabby, badly maintained, no service staff. The Air conditioner works and bath water is hot. That's about it, charges are extremely high and no service available worth the name. But this is something quite normal all over in the Andamans, providing facilities for tourists is not important, only how much you can extract from them, so it is a rip off considering the price they charge.
Going back every year !!

I have been to port Blair twice every year from 2010, every time at Hotel Abhishek. The property is located very conveniently near the airport & transport to all places in Port Blair is very easy. The hotel is a "no-frills" one & rooms are well appointed & recently they have had a facelift. The toilets have also undergone refurbishing, a welcome change. The room service is not top class but quite adequate. They have definitely improved over the years. Mr. Negi has always been to me as a helpful character. Recently he has gone back to his native, Himachal. The rooms 211, 111 has the view of the junglighat where you can go early in the morning to watch the largest fish market of the town. Also while at Port Blair, visit the restaurant Light House adjacent to The Aquarium on the marina bay to have fabulous crabs, snappers, giant lobster which will entice you to come back here, year after year. Before I sign off, a special mention about the Radhanagar beach of Havlock Island - you will be mesmerised, please have a swim, the serenity is unforgettable.
