Budget and Basic
by bhumika23 on
They have very basic rooms. I would certainly not book the hotel as part of my vacation. Its good for an overnight stop at a budget cost.
The staff is very courteous and helpful.
The breakfast was fresh and well prepared.
The hotel is located equidistant the ferry jetty as well as the airport and costs around INR 100 by rickshaw to get to either.

Average hotel. Rooms were average sized. Lack of maintenance is visible everywhere in the hotel. The lift does not work and we faced a very bad situation with the lift. Even stair case is very narrow. Availability of food & services in restaurants was miserable. However hotel staff was well behaved.
WIFI connectivity is available in lobby only.

Stayed there before the lockdown. The staff was very hospitable and prompt. The food in the restaurant was palatable. The rooms were clean and had good amenities. I suggest the bed lights height should be readjusted. I kept on hitting the hanging bedlamp with my head each time I reached near the bed. Overall, would love to come back.
Good for Transit

This is an average hotel. The rooms are small with average facilities. But they are clean. Food is good. If you are staying for a day, you can stay here. Wifi is a problem in andamans. So, the hotel can't be blamed for poor wifi.
Small Hotel - good for a transit
by AK_Chennai on
Hotel is smaller than I expected, rooms were of average size and clean. Restaurant was bigger than expected and they served good food.. had lunch and dinner there. Limited parking and you enter the hotel straight from the road.
Service was good, they made quick packed sandwich, juice and fruits as we had to take early morning ferry to Havelock Islands. Room was clean however the Air conditioning in one of the room we took was not great and the lighting in one of the rooms were not good - made you feel sleepy. I had some trouble with the electronic room locks in one of the rooms. Not too many places around the hotel to walk around.... perfect for transit stay. I thought Makruzz pier is close to this hotel however I was told Makruzz have moved to a different pier - if I had known this, I would have opted for a different hotel (maybe) but still no regrets for transit stay.
Few things to remember and that\s common in Port Blair.. phone connectivity is poor in most of the places (even with BSNL it's not great but I'm told BSNL is the best - I took a BSNL SIM just for this trip and my other numbers Airtel and Vodofone were equally bad), data on phone just forget it, limited internet which is very slow even in hotels hence don't plan your trip basis credit cards. Credit cards do not work in many hotels due to network issues, so carry cash !
