Cheap, central and quite clean

Run by a Telugu family, the hotel is at the end of Babu Lane, just a 5 minute walk from the Clock Tower. The room was small but clean. Attached bathroom was clean but no provisions for hot water. The geyser does not work. They have a water filter that gives chilled water. Empty mineral water bottles are kept at the side. It was a nice thoughtful touch! We had a double room with a balcony for 600 Rs. Gagan Restaurant is nearby and serves good Fish Nicobari curry. Also the Gandhi Statue and bus stand is a 2 minute downhill walk from KVR.. Good value for money considering its bazaar location..
