No Ventilation for the bathroom-- which seems standard in Port Blair--has caused the bathroom smell even after renovation works done in most hotels.Bathroom window opens into the room towards the door(I have booked the high end Rs 3500 room). Since it rains for most part of the year mold and the accompanying toxic smell ans stink especially in the bathroom seems common in houses here, unless outer walls and slab are thoroughly water proofed, and interiors well ventilated. Apart from this the owner was a gentleman, sent our complementary taxi pick up,greeted us at the hotel, booked our ferry ticket to havelock,---which we desperately were in need of and worried when we landed, since we had our all paid for hotel booking for the next day---at no extra cost. Restaurant looked basic but has good and tasty food, which otherwise was difficult to find in andamans, so came back for it after our stay at Havelock. They have luggage storage facility which was a boon since we didn't have to carry all the luggage for a day's stay at Havelock. Overall we had more than happy stay at Hotel Rishab.Thank you to the owner and courteous staff.
