overall nice resort and for honeymoon couple must go this resort....
WiFi facility have a issue as there is no good network connection in whole Andaman city.
I visited Andaman in feb and stayed Ixzire for 3 days. The location of ixzire will suit all those who loves to go to Jim Corbett and other natural locations.
The owner Ms. Sarmishtha Das is an excellent day. By mistake even though I suppose to visit Andaman in feb 2018 but by mistake I selected booing as Mar 2018 , I.e. 1 month forward. She advised me to contact the agent and gave us the availability of rooms Feb only with no additional cost . All this happens when I was at the reception with family with all luggage and waiting for check in.
The food was excellent and the grill fish is like a delight to watch and eat...
The rooms are good and I am sure Ixzire will definitely part of my plan for any Andaman trip in future.
Ixzire is very a nice place to stay . The staff is very kind and helpful. The food is very nice and delicious. I would strongly recommend everyone to stay at ixzire without giving a second thought. There is wifi facility in the lobby which is very helpful .
In terms of hospitality and tour arrangements, this resort property has probably no equal. Our small family could not have had a better reception anywhere else.
While its remote location and rustic setting made a unique experience for us, to some these attributes may not be convenient or pleasing. Distance from Port Blair city / Bambooflat jetty can be viewed as a negative by many. For us, the travel from the jetty to the resort itself presented a scenic view every time.
Nevertheless, if given a compact tour programme, Ixzire is a place we shall love to visit once again simply because of the hosts. Yes, the place is more like an upmarket homestay rather than a resort. Guests and children are treated very well indeed.
For dog lovers, "Dushtu" - which, we we understood to be a five-year old cross-breed with a face closely resembling a Rottweiler, can be entertaining and very friendly.
The restaurant is airy. The quality of food gave us no reason for complain. In fact, allergic as we are to most foods, the dishes served were very good. We were told that the restaurant could have a bar in the near future. As teetotalers though, we enjoyed tea and snacks on the porch of the comfortable cottage that we had to ourselves.
Staff who had been assigned to take us on the day trips were extremely polite and courteous. Even when faced with an emergency that could have at the very least landed us in great trouble with the island authorities if not outright bodily harm in the middle of Jarawa forest reserve on our drive back from sightseeing at the Baratang limestone caves, the gentleman who drove the luxury SUV that had been at our disposal exclusively throughout our stay, exuded confidence and exhibited a calming presence. We thank him, and our hosts, for making our vacation a safe and memorable experience that could have been harrowing otherwise.
The name of the property made us wonder. When asked, our hostess did not hesitate to explain that the portmanteau was formed by combining the IATA code for Port Blair: IXZ, with the word "desire". Thus, Ixzire. An apt name indeed given our short but extremely memorable stay.
Ambiance, cleanliness, quality and quantity of food served, travel arrangements to tourist spots, overall hospitality and punctuality are the hallmarks of this resort property. We would recommend this to any one seeking a comfortable, cozy, and an offbeat experience while vacationing in Port Blair, Andaman Islands.
We spent two days at Ixzire after our stay in Havelock. The cottage was lovely and everything we needed was there. We loved the matted look of the older one and did not like the new white one though other people may have a different preference) a. The balcony was lovely and a special bonus. The place has been designed with taste and with care. The food was homely and very tasty. We loved walking through the property though unfortunately we could not take the boat ride down the backwaters in the mangrove forest (that I had read about in the reviews here), as the jetty was damaged due to rain. But the best thing was the service and the warmth of everyone there, Bikash, Sharmistha, Sapna and Sujay. We did not take any tours but they offer to arrange all sightseeing. Mt Harriet nearby was a nice trip. A different and peaceful place to come back to after a day out.
