The hotel is closer to the main entrance of airport. Rooms are spacious, but without any maintenance, mainly the bathroom. No intercom in the room. Room service is poor. Overall totally unprofessional approach. But the staffs are friendly and feel like a home stay.Foods are ok.

More like a Home Stay and not a hotel stay.... More like a Home Stay and not a hotel stay....

Beautiful old villa type structure, located across the road, bang opposite to the main entry gate of the Veer Sawarkar airport, it is about 5 minutes walk to the airport, mostly frequented by families comfortably loitering in their night gown / dress. Rooms are very specious with minimal amenities. Option of Air-conditioned or non air-conditioned rooms are there. Couple of homely humble ladies manages the show including check in, check out and food arrangements; obviously unlike any professional, disciplined and uniformed hotel staff. They most comfortably communicate in Hindi or Bengali. Food has to be ordered in advance to be able to dine at the hotel. However few food joints are available nearby. No intercom or phone in the room. Anything needed to be told in person either at reception or at the kitchen / dining room wherever one can be found. Being the property old, room are bit damp and musty. Overall the property looks clean and tidy but doesn't feel clean with Phenyl smell around, dirty foot mat at the bath room door, bed, linen quality etc. Price is very nominal. A room costs betweenRs.800 to Rs.1000. Can be considered for a stop over.

Best if are only staying there at night Best if are only staying there at night

This place is not so neat and clean. Avoid dining there. Rooms are spacious though. this can be chosen as it is near to the airport. After staying there i realised if u r using the room for staying at night its good. food was always a problem spcly dinner. people out there are courteous. hope they improve their in house food service.that is the only reason for giving a 3 star.

Good but can be better Good but can be better

First of all its not a 3 star expectation should be set right. You get the same level of comfort as any standard 2 star hotel. The room was spacious. The bed Linens and towels demands cleaning a second time. No wifi is provided. No hot water geyser. AC had some issues. TV signal quality was pathetic. Found bed bugs in our bed but the caretaker was humble enough to change our room. The deluxe rooms are worth opting for because standard rooms are a bit pathetic. However all rooms lack proper ventilation. The best part is the hotel is just 1min drive from the airport. The caretaker and hotel owner were very humble. They even gave us their laptop for watching videos and transfer photos. Every room has a mini refrigerator but we did not use. Laundry service is not provided. The chef cooked delicious homely dishes for us and that is definitely a plus point. The restaurant in the hotel has only 4 tables to dine considering around 14 guest rooms. No inverter facility is present incase of power shutdown. Overall good but if you get a better place..go for it.

We stayed here on our way back from the Andamans. I only wish I had taken some photos of our 'standard' room but we couldnt bear to be in there any longer than possible. Thought given the rating on here it would be ok or at least vaguely clean. How wrong I was. I am amazed this place is on Agoda. It is by far the worst place I have stayed in India. We would have left except it was late and after checking other hotels they were full. Some of the lowlights- filthy bathroom, toilet paper stuck on wall, cold shower which didnt work beyond a trickle, manager who after we asked to see the room and said we werent sure then threatened to give it to someone else and phoned them immediately. Obviously dirty and stained sheets, towels and pillows. Offered bread as the included breakfast. Mosquitoes and no net despite being assured there were none. Peeling vinyl on floor. Noisy because it is across the road from a bus stop where every bus sounds their horn. Rude manager who immediately showed all my personal information to another guest as I sat there completing check in and made comments about my girlfriend and tried to extract extra money from me. Stay away at all costs or bring a tent
