Stayed here for 1 night in October as we were transiting from the Andamans back to Dubai. The hotel is about an hour away from the airport and ferry terminal. It's situated on a beach that is not so great - brown sand, not very clear water.
The rooms were quite old. Bedding had some stains on it. The bathroom was also poor. There was a shower that had a bucket and pail in it. Not sure what that's about, but it wasn't very clean and didn't have much hot water.
The grounds are a bit unkempt - uncut grass, etc. The pool looked like it was not cleaned in awhile.
Not sure what the other hotels in Port Blair are like, so I can't really make a comparison however, we were extremely uncomfortable here and excited to leave.
After a long marriage celebration, we went on honeymoon journey to Andaman using Portblair for entry and exit while majority of the stay was in Havelock Island. We stayed for one night on 21st feb 2018 as we were tired by our marriage rituals and were recharged after entering this hotel premises. The property location, view, the dinner was excellent and so delicious that we cannot forget. Before check out we also went out to beach and its so beautiful that we cannot forget. thank you sea princess for making our honeymoon nostalgic.
It took 45 mins approx. to reach here from airport as it is far away from main Portblair city but it is best.
Stayed there in Feb 2018. Best part is the location and view. Quite place on a beautiful beach. Half hour drive from city. Drawbacks. The place seems to not have been kept up by management. Needs a facelift. Staff was very helpful. Another negative was that you are not allowed to go to the sea due to risk of crocodiles.
Awesome! Maybe even this is not the word to describe this property. Its beyond words, felt like heaven. Believe me or not Sea Princess is one of the best properties you could find in the South Andaman. Their rooms arent that huge, very much average (not at all bad) but the view is breathtaking.
I could see the swimming pool right outside my room and the best part is the beach just ahead of the pool. Best part of my entire trip to Andaman. There were hammocks in the property in front of the beach. The restaurant is the best part located exactly in front of the beach with an amazing view.
Andaman being an island I highly doubted the taste of food thats going to be served, but to my shock the food served at Sea Princess was Perfect! (yumm and good quality). Sea Princess is beautifully located and thats the best part of the property. Not to forget the indeed helpful staff. My mother is a big fan of coconuts and to mention the staff at the resort would get coconuts for mom every day during our stay with them (really sweet of them). They have a terrace on the left of the property and it has an amazing view of the sea right in front. Pictures attached.
However, the beach in front of the resort is said to have crocodiles (I never saw one) and we are advised not to go in the waters. Although, the view is really beautiful.
Note: It is at the extreme corner of the Andaman Islands, quite far from the main city. Almost 20kms drive from the Airport. However, you can book a government cab from the Airport itself at reasonable rates.

If you, like me, found yourself pining for Havelock soon as you left it, and landed bang in the middle of the Port Blair hustle and bustle wishing you had just one more night of beachy goodness left before your flight out the next day, you'll be super happy you chose Sea Princess for your stay.
Location, location, location:
Sea Princess is about 25 kms away from the jetty / airport but the drive is gorgeous, with water on one side almost constantly and mangrove forests to look at. For me, the drive was the best way to see just how beautiful and wild the island is, in the short time that I had in Port Blair. If I had stayed in the city, I would have gone back thinking of Port Blair as nothing but I giant market and I'm so so glad I got to see this side of it.
The property is HUUGGEE! Think old colonial architecture and impressive corridors with comfy rooms and insta-worthy balconies with amaze views. They have their own private beach and a really nice, clean pool and sit outs at every level, so you're never far from a great view no matter where you look. The staff was ever helpful even for the smallest of things, and extremely prompt. The GM Sohail was super helpful, and made sure we were always comfortable. The food is good, the paneer tikka was really really good and the breakfast buffet is great. They can even customise dishes, you just have to ask.
Bonus point: Because of the views and how big and scenic the property is, it's great for destination weddings, birthdays or even new year getaways.
You couldn't go in the water while I was there because of Crocs but the beach is great for walks, runs or just sitting back and staring at the ever changing sea-sun and cloud scape. It's seriously one of the best views to just stare at. They have a hut on the beach, that you should go sit in, and bring to life the pages of all the Secret Seven books you've ever read.
All in all, Sea Princess was the best place to spend a night and a day in Port Blair and it made me wish I had a few more days to enjoy it.
Thanks guys, for an unforgettable stay and for spoiling every other hotel in Port Blair for me! Like the Terminator, I will be back :)
