Room: Good. Decor looked oldish but functional. There were visible spots and flaws in the paint, the plaster had come off at a couple of spots. But, the view from the room was absolutely awesome. Dining Options: Food was very good, the dinner buffet was excellent with enough choice. Only issue was on both days we could not get a table outside in the open part of the restaurant, apparently all tables were reserved well in advance. Location, accessibility and other: Location close to the bay is clearly the selling point of this hotel, and rightfully so. Accessibility however could be an issue, We didnt have any problems since we had hired a car, but I didnt see any shops or rickshaw stands nearby. There is no WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby!! Add to that the fact that cell coverage is patchy and data connections dont work! This is something the management should work on. Overall: would certainly recommend for the Location and the restaurant. They need to work on modernizing their rooms with newer decor and provide WiFi.

For a pleasant vacation ! it was nightmarish, and its a daylight robbery ! We paid 17000 trough Travel for three dreadful nights. We were misguided by all reviews seen in the web except one which was true ! I note that people are becoming rich and they dont have any taste of life, cleanness etc.. because we are living a time where intellectual life seems to be drunken of its mechanism up too often mislead and confused of doctrine. Sinclair Port Blair, had good remarks and reviews on the web for their food, beware of you guys, your tongue is deaden, numb and anesthetized, disgusting food for exorbitant prices. From the Web, the Hotel Sinclair is claiming to be one, but I rank this horrible hotel in the category of cow shed number one, even worse, if there can be worst scale of the awful that we can imagine. Three nights of terrible sleep with a mattress exceeding the bed, thereby you do not sleep straight, photos uploaded in Trip Advisor by me will prove what we talking about, their linen is very old or taken directly from the dustbin of the town, their dirty dishes, their furniture broken, dirty and sticky tiles ! Basically, they rob you with images that you dream while the truth is otherwise. Think before you get there. I am amazed to see the number of people, who are happy with their visit to Sinclair Port Blair, should be the new rich with no taste and did not understand anything to lifestyle. Sorry to say it, as long as there are morons, there are fuckers! Think twice before to decide !

I must say I expected more for the price I paid for a hotel in Port Blair. Service was excellent at the hotel. Food was very good - they had a selection of Indian, Continental and Chinese - but room service was slow. The rooms are very spacious, but the fittings are old. There was a nice view of the bay from my room, but I had to look past a filthy window ledge and unkempt lawn when I wanted to catch a glimpse of the sea. No hot water in my room, which was not pleasant. Overall I would rate my experience at the hotel as average, but feel that since the staff seem sincere and well-trained, they can make this a very enjoyable experience with a little attention to detail!

It was an outstanding experience. The room was very royal and clean. The staff was prompt and up to date with the service. The food was mouth melting. I really enjoyed the sea food and Thai cuisine. The location was also convenient. It was really a comfortable stay.

The standard room was decent with all the necessities. Staff were co-operative and helpful. Breakfast was delightful in taste. The location was really good near the hotel.

84 adults on a can be a tough assignment for any hotel. The staff at Sinclairs Bay View rose to the challenge and did a good job. The rooms were well aired and clean, the house-keeping staff was punctual and efficient...Views of the sea, palm trees and the sunrise were exceptional, as was the cool lobby and the food laid out at the buffet table. A special mention about the Daal which was cooked in their kitchen--it was deliciously simple, tasty and great for jaded appetites.

Pros 1. Convenient location - 15 min from airport as well as jetty where the Havelock ferry leaves from. Close to local sights like Cellular Jail, Corbyn's Cove, Aberdeen Market etc Auto stand bang outside the hotel, if you need to do a quick local trip. 2. Great views - overlooks the sea, and you can see Ross Island as well, great sunrises. 3. Nice co-operative staff - we had to check out very early, and had a lot of time to kill as our boat to Havelock was in the afternoon. The staff agreed to let us occupy an empty room Improvement areas 1. Very early checkouts - you have to checkout at 9 am. Please keep this in mind while creating your schedule. 2. Food is ordinary - there is nothing specifically bad about the food, but nothing exceptional either. Overall , our experience was positive, and we would recommend Sinclairs for a Port Blair trip

One of the best location, very good view, large room, poor maintenance, food and beverage not matching the star rating and prices. Sea facing rooms are having excellent view. Swimming pool is almost an oversize bath tub.If you do not get rattled by indifferent maintenance and attitude of reception staff, you will enjoy at this hotel. Stayed on two different dates in same trip. First stay, room did not have hand towels as well the electric plug in bathroom was not working and they did not correct it. On second stay, the whole door of the cupboard fell on my hands. By chance was not hurt. My advice is that hotel should look in to these aspects to improve guests experience of the property.

Great place, terrace and sea view but nothing that we wanted on the menu was available. Food as well as drinks! Service excellent. One of the few places that took credit card! Good food from what was available.

Basic but convenient for flights Basic but convenient for flights

We stayed at Sinclairs because our boat connection to Havelock island in the Andamans would have cut it fine for our flight. The positives: it's a close (15 minute) taxi ride to the airport and wifi in the reception (it's slow but serviceable, but any wifi is rare in the Andamans). The hotel itself is pretty tired, the breakfast was only functional (although you can request a freshly cooked omelette), the pool is out of order and it has a policy of check out being at the early time of 9am. We were told it was one of the top three hotels in Port Blair, so that may repay further research.
