Its a four BHK flat runing as hotel. once you reach their you will feel like going to some building flat at second floor, no lift so will be problem for old,
Bed sheets are dirty blankets has foul smell. No in house kitchen whatever you order they will get it from local market.
you will get a felling as if you are staying i a small Dharamshala.
Sea View from the room
Only staff who does all jobs like kitchen to bell boy to cleaning staff. Only he made a stay little comfortable.
We never actually made it to Shelter at the Sea because of Kochi Airport's closure. However, the hotel refunded us in full despite it being close to our arrival date and there being no obligation to do so. I can't speak for the hotel itself, but this was excellent customer service.
Its not a hotel. Its a home stay. I missed to read the description! No lift - its on second floor . Room we got had no balcony _ so the sea view for which This hotel was my choice wasnt there! There is a kitchen where the staff makes decent tea/coffee. Room was very average. Bed is comfortable. Shower curtain was very dirty. There were no autos available- we had to walk quite a bit to find a good restaurant for lunch. No room service was available for about 2 hrs after checkin . Staff were on break. The only person at reception was barely helpful! Dinner was delivered by the staff. We choose another hotel for the next day in port- Blair . For the same amount better options are available.
The rooms are decent and clean, well maintained. Try to book honeymoon suit even for friends As it has sea view. Breakfast served is good. Location is great just near Rajiv Gandhi Marine Park and cellular jail. The staff can be little more friendly. Wifi works sometimes.
At first, I was completely apprehensive about the choice of hotel made by my Husband.
But right from the moment of check-in and till the time of our check out, I had zero complaints and I was highly satisfied with all the given amenities. I cannot forget to thank Uttam, the caretaker. He made sure that we were comfortable with keeping the room clean and ready on time, to providing suggestions and serving us with super awesome tea. He also packed our breakfasts for two days in a row as we had travel plans early in the morning. The best thing was we were served great and fresh food. It satiated our souls the most. There is one suggestion I would want to give these guys is to increase some lights in the room or replace the CFLs by LEDs. Trust me it would add in heaps to the ambiance you provide at such affordable rate. The dim light actually makes the place look dull and gloomy.
Needless to say, the location of the hotel is extremely comfortable. Just a little fishy smell outside the property which happens to be gone by the time you approach the hotel.
