Dear Ms.Vandana, I booked in Hotel Sagar Plaza, Pune through Travel Guru. I had the following surprises. 1. Based on the SMS received from Travel Guru, wanted to inform the hotel that I will be checking in late. The telephone number provided in your SMS message as well in all communications from travel guru is wrong. I could never contact the hotel. YOUR RECORDS CARRY OLD NUMBERS OF THE HOTEL. 2. When I reached the hotel there was some information from Travel Guru requesting for only one room where as I had booked for two rooms. I had to open my laptop in the reception and show them the mail / confirmation from Travel Guru to confirm that I have booking for two rooms. THEY GAVE ME TWO ROOMS ONLY AFTER I GAVE THEM A COPY OF THE TRAVEL GURU BOOKING CONFIRMATION. 3. But there was a rider. There was no mail confirmation from Travel guru to the hotel. There was no payment made. Hence, they wanted me to pay the next morning while checking out if there was no payment received by them from travel guru by then. 4. Wanted to speak to travel guru to settle things. But I use Vodafone and hence could not call your toll free number. There was no other number provided. Hence I had to borrow sum body else�?s phone and call travel guru and make them speak to hotel. 5. Finally travel guru reservation people confirmed to the hotel that they will send a mail and send payment and I should not be disturbed. 6. All this took minimum half an hour and we were standing in the reception as if we have done some blunder and waiting there for the punishment. Blunder was I booked through travel guru which I will never do again.
We had a disappointing stay in this property. The ambiance itself was very dull. The room we were provided was very small & congested. Moreover I don't think the facilities provided were value for money either. We didn't enjoy the food either. The staff members were well behaved though. I don't think I am coming back again.
